I am disturbed by names of parents on the bc. Shouldn’t even if donated; some kind of identity of the real parents be made just in case of some medical problem?

Sadly, that’s the policy of couples who are one man, one woman, too. That’s what has led us down this road: Married couples (one man, one woman) started using donors and surrogates but putting only their names on the birth certificate. At lease one same-sex couple won a court case to have both their names on the birth certificate based on the fact that other couples (one man, one woman) are allowed to do that when they use donors/surrogates.

It’s now a crazy, mixed-up world, and birth certificates mean nothing anymore.
