The forecast from a new report by the Obama administration on global warming warns North Carolina's beaches could be swallowed up by the sea, New England's long winters could last two weeks and Chicago? Watch out for deadly heat waves.
But scientists who have evaluated the warnings and forecasts says it is a "scare" report that has little relation to reality.
"This is not a work of science but an embarrassing episode for the authors and NOAA," said meteorologist Joe D'Aleo, the former chairman of the American Meteorological Society's Committee on Weather Analysis and Forecasting.
The scientist, who publishes the IceCap.US report, said the report "starts out DAY ONE being wrong on many of its claims.
They gave the administration the cover to push the unwise cap-and-tax agenda."

I wish the winters would only last 2 weeks in the northeast, it'll be a big improvement, really.
I can't wait to plant some palm trees in my front yard!
Greetings from Hatteras, NC......
Where the beaches are largely off-limits because some enviro-weenie got his/her knickers in a knot over the piping plover. SO WHO CARES IF THEY GET SWALLOWED UP BY RISING WATERS. Morons.

the only scary document is his birth certificate
Something that has always puzzled me....if the majority of ICECAP ice on the planet is the floating kind, just who the hell thinks if they melt, the worlds water level will rise? One could understand meltoff from landbound glaciers, but floaters? Religion is a mighty thing.....
Do they mean like this?

and the MSM stating obuzzo’s regime is now welcoming back science into the WH (as opposed to GW, of course)/s
As long as the left owns/is the media, fact and truth are unimportant.
Yep! They’ve used that dang bird everywhere there’s a foot of sand and pebbles exposed

The left is nuts - thanks for the ping.
Birds are smart enough to get out of the way of the rising waters, and find another place to live quite happily.
The majority is on land in Antarctica. Even most alarmists don't think that will melt. However many alarmists maintain that the Greenland ice will melt and cause a 6.5 meter rise in the oceans.
The basic problem with their theory is that even if you took the ice from Greenland and placed it in the Sahara, it would take centuries to melt.
Every place the fishermen and tourists frequented is now off limits. My Mom LOVES to go to the point. Now....we can’t take her because of some flippin’ bird.
I’d like to flip them a bird.
I hear piping plover tastes like chicken.
I've had a trlr on Currituck sound since 1980. It, and Back Bay, used to be the finest bass fishing water in the world...I had fished both (as well as the lower reaches of the North River) since the mid-70's.
That is until the environmentalists refused to allow replacement of the pump that brought a small stream of seawater over Sandbridge into Back Bay.
By the 1990's it was the worst (albeit unreported) environmental disaster in decades...Thanks to those scum bastards, and aided by a few bad winters, all the grass and clarified water was gone.....So were a few billion aquatic life forms.
Fortunately all that milfoil from Currituck and Back Bay on our boat trailers during the late 70's eventually seeded the Potomac River....Now it is one the premier bass-fishing waters in the U.S.......And it's only 40 minutes from my house (south of Annapolis) to the ramp...{:-)
I’m glad you found alternate fishing grounds. We’re still looking for an alternate. There’s no place like the point for fishing, shelling, etc. Fishing is better in October so maybe we’ll come back then and see if the bird sanctuaries are open to human traffic.
