If the street demonstrations were to really get out-of-hand, the Mullahs might lose political power. It would appear that Khameni has cut the cord with the loser of the election. If that individual were to benefit, and consolidate power, Khameni & his crew might be out.

I agree that this wouldn’t mean a ‘friendly’ Iran, but it certainly would be an improvement for the average Iranian — especially females.

Hi Tallguy,

I hope you’re right. I once participated in an Iranian student protest for democracy and was shocked to see how all the different factions were fanatical and even physically violent. It’s that damned Islamic ethos that seems to REQUIRE oppression.
