“As I said in Cairo...”
I keep seeing this sentiment. Exactly WHAT would you have Obama DO right now?
Wouldn’t Charlie love to do this to his opponents...
Not much he can do until this is played out.
“Death to Khamenei!”

We have to worry about what the rest of the world thinks about us./s
Where’s the UN? Where’s the world community? No one want to step in and stop these atrocities? We are in tough shape as a species right now.
Five Things Obama Can to Promote Freedom in Iran http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2274744/posts
How about you tell us.
I want Obama to write a letter stating he is “gravely concerned.” That will end the violence and reverse the election results.
Here’s an article describing what Regan did when the Poles rebelled against the USSR:
http://spectator.org/archives/2009/06/18/obama-is-no-reagan-the-polish
come on man, what is he suppose to do? Kill another fly to show how tough he is? In fact, Obama is letting this escalate because he wants to learn how Khamenei puts down his enemies. It’s what Buttcrack will do when we start to protest his fascist like administration.
I don’t want him to do anything. He’ll screw it up.
The UN can always pass another resoltuion, I say Israel goes in and takes care of business soon...
He will. It will be too little too late, like “present”, but he will sound real pretty when he says it. Then the left will celebrate, fawn and coo over yet another of his historic moments in the history of all of mankind.
Can I get an Amen.....
Seen to be standing around with his thumb up his Oldbunghole?
PS this would be the perfect moment for Bush to basically come out and tell Obama "Say something!"
Make a speech. Make ten speeches. then make some more speeches. Send people to the UN to put pressure on iran to knock it off. Meet with other presidents to make a group condemnation of the crackdowns. declare iran a “no fly zone” and get the UN to back it up. Send food and medical assistance. send UN observers. send sat phones and battery power to the protesters. Make it clear that no government dignitaries will be allowed to flee iran or be given assylum in any western nation.
There’s a lot he could do.
I’m not the one calling for Obama to DO something. Anything he DOES will be a wrong thing. I want him to DO nothing. Clear?
He didn't say he had a solution. He asked what you expect Obama to do about it.
Should he cry? Stamp his feet? Slit his wrists?
Got a suggestion or just a smart remark?
Aftermath of the 2010 elections here?
I agree, as much as I detest Obama this is a lose lose situation for the US. If anything he has said too much already. No matter which side wins in Iran they are still going to hate our guts and chant DEATH TO AMERICAN every chance they get. Leave the savages alone and let them purge themselves. It will be fewer that we will have to kill after they nuke us someday. And they will no doubt nuke us someday.
Protesters with guns in their pockets don't get thrown in fires.
Thanks for making sense.
The world outside the US is finding out that Charlie is a fraud....He can’t raise the dead, make the sun shine, or stop wars. He’s not going to raise his voice or a finger to help anyone in need anywhere except the unions and radical leftists here in the US.....All he and his following can do is blame the “previous administration” for all the worlds woes and tribulations. He’s a very sad example for the United States.
Wow! Now, that would light a fire under Obusted's ass, wouldn't it?
But, GWB is far too much a gentleman to do such a thing, and undermine the current Precedent.
How about Mr. Obama act like the leader of the free world.
A whole week of nothing from him. Now we see the slaughter of the Iranian people and he says, "As I said in Cairo." Gee, how strong of him. How full of leadership. How compassionate towards those that cry for freedom and liberty. Not only narcissistic, but clearly said because of political pressure, not altruism.
Hope? Change? Words, my FRiend. He's just full of words. He's shown the world how inhuman he really is towards real pain and suffering.
Now I suggest you look at the photos and video of the human slaughter in Iran before you choose to castigate people again for calling Obama for who he really is: a coward.
Zero is SUPPOSED to be the leader of the free world...but he only wants to be the leader of the world....doesn’t want to take sides, impose values, etc. etc.
How about resigning and getting someone “ up to the paygrade” in there?
That would be a great start.
How about resigning and getting someone “ up to the paygrade” in there?
That would be a great start.
He could probably cook a nice wagyu steak over the fires.
Sorry, He isn't one. Did you think he was?
He's shown the world how inhuman he really is towards real pain and suffering.
Good. It's better they realize that.
Now I suggest you look at the photos and video of the human slaughter in Iran before you choose to castigate people again for calling Obama for who he really is: a coward.
Again.. what did you expect of him?
He has no power in Iran. What would you suggest he do?
I've asked this twice now. Got an answer?
There wasn't much Reagan could do when the Poles and Solidarity, but he spoke loudly and often and made known to the Soviets that nothing would be discussed with the Poles in chains. He sought out John Paul II and Maggie Thatcher and laide the groundwork for the fall of the Evil Empire.
Heck when the commies invaded Afghanistan even Carter fellt the need to do something. Obama has no excuse to do and say nothing! No excuse!!
It would REALLY make the libs heads blow up if Cheney weighed in about now.
Lets see. Maybe a basic history lesson intended for the youth of Iran. Freedom is not free.
A couple hundred years ago we had some white men, mostly if not all—Christian, that pledged something about— our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.
If you yutes of Iran really seek more freedom, you best stand up for it cause this sucker aint bout goin yo way. Best to ya.
The challenger is only a degree better than the mugocracy now in power. In fact he was the mugocracy in the past. But the people in the streets really want a fair election, and maybe this result will yield small gains toward that future end.
Iran doesn't have a Second Amendment.
Gee I thought the Lamebrain Fraud had ALL the answers?? What is up now?
Yet, 0 is still not as outraged as he was that our military waterboarded prisoners.
Why do you call BHO “Charlie?”
You are coming in late ont this story. It is not a question of what Obama should do "now". It was what he should'be done, like past presidents, when this whole Iranian thing started. The Europeans spoke out long ago while Obama remained silent. Not exactly the leadership position of the US.
Yea but if GWB really believed what he said about freedom in the mid east being the way... then he needs to do it...
Now look who's the the one posting smart-alick remarks. You won't even answer your own question.
How about this: Our sympathies are with the people, not the government.
Simple. Direct. Leadership.
Obama failed even that simple a statement. Couldn't even muster any statement of moral support for those that want freedom and liberty. A week of silence. That's not leadership. That is indecision and weakness.
The President of the United States is viewed, no matter the occupant, as leader of the free world. Mr. Obama failed in that role towards the people of Iran.
It may not have been preventable the events in Iran, but he has no moral authority to make any statements about freedom and liberty after a week of just standing by and saying nothing. Even the French and Germans are supporting the people of Iran. Obama..."As I said in Cairo."
And once again, why don't you go see the video and photos of the brutality and slaughter of the Iranian people before you castigate people for calling Obama the coward he is.
BUMP.
Oh. Thanks for setting me straight.
