This is from the "Preface" of William McGowan's highly acclaimed book, "Coloring the News," in which he shows how affirmative action can result in death. It's the story of one Patrick Chavis, an unqualified black who was granted admission to the University of California at Davis Medical School under a special minority preference program. He "bumped out" a qualified white student, Allan Bakke. Bakke was admitted to another medical school and became a successful physician. But Chavis had a notorious practice and his incompetence disfigured and actually killed patients. Above all, it's the story of how the MSM served as cheer leader for affirmative action and Chavis - and deliberately suppressed the truth.

It’s not happening instantly; it’s more like watching a car crash- test in super slow motion.....
What we call “affirmative action” has been happening all over the world for a long time. What America is doing to *certain* minorities (but not those minorities that tend to do well economically somehow, you know, the ones who STICK TOGETHER AS FAMILIES AND HAVE STRONG WORK ETHICS) and how those policies affect white people is analagous to what Europe has done to the Jews (persecuted them for superior economic performance using religion as an excuse), and what Asian has done to the Chinese. Read up on Malaysian policy towards Chinese immigrants. The policies seem eerily familiar. Things that we would call affirmative action, preferential government contracts, etc., all to benefit the native Malaysian population because those darn Chinese just outperformed them in business and the sciences constantly (just not in politics).

Affirmative action has been a complete and utter failure.
As well as all the other actions that affirmative action entails such as rewarding students with graduation when they cannot read and write English or do math.
Not to mention setting up quotas for minorities rather than promotions based on merit and ability regardless of gender or color or creed rather than by solely the color of somebody’s skin.

Gee, you mean picking who to educate as doctors based on anything but ability is a bad idea and gets people killed? Only mentally deficient libdolts (but I repeat myself) could be so stupid and/or delusional not to grasp that fact...
How about that crusading in general corrupted American journalism? All these clymers who grew up wanting to be the next Woodward and Bernstein taking down Republicans has led us to the state run media we have today.

Actually the 78 decision was a cop-out. Bakke had already been admitted, thanks to lower court decisions and was about to graduate. The SC said it was “moot” to rule but race could be a factor taken into account, but quotas were out.
The reality became that race became way too much of a factor (even though it shouldn’t have been one at all). Thus the ridiculous attempts to “diversify” anything
“Affirmative action” and “diversity” are codewords for racism and sexism. Got to call them something else to cover up reality, just like “pro choice” is code for pro-abortion.
The Constitution uses the words “ANY person” . . . not persons of a race or ethnicity or gender. “ANY” person.
Let all supporters of “affirmative action” give up their jobs, applications, admissions of themselves and their kids. Especially politicans, Deans, and CEOs, after all aren’t they “overrepresented”? Then we get to see how supportive they in fact are.
What, no takers? How surprising.

Just look at the following and you will see what I mean/
Look at network TV programming.
Look at the state of the current movie industry and the movies they make.
Look at music namely rap and hip hop which demean women and foster hatred and even condone killing especially of authority figures such as parents and police officers.
Look at video games. Ultra violent which desensitizes youth to violence of all forms. Not to mention the rampant sexism as well.
Look at what passes for news on network TV. Yabloid journalism.
Look at what is being taught in our schools and universities. Public schools are a disaster.

Good post. Rush has said that this generation of “journalists” is more interested in changing things according to their personal agendas than objectively reporting the news.
I don’t even think they’re interested in “changing” anything, other than their personal lifestyles. It’s the safe approach to take, pretending to be PC, while living in the conservative neighborhoods and sending their kids to private schools. They see what happens to Jimmy The Greek, Imus, et al and don’t want any part of it. Better to go along to get along and feel good about themselves.
BTW, interesting about Chavis. I found this while following up:
He sued, charging racism. In a jury trial, he won $1.1 million in damages, but a judge overturned the verdict. By 1997, he said he had delivered 10,000 children and performed thousands of abortions. About that time, he added liposuction to his practice. His personal and professional life then took a further downturn. In 1997, The Associated Press found in court records that he had been sued 21 times for malpractice and had settled some suits with no admission of guilt.
