More than 3.7 years to go...after all is said and done, how many years before Joe Six Pack will risk another 4 years on a similar Prez....? 10 years? 30...?

I maintain that Gallup is really trying to wing the vote. But if such a large dip is being registered by Gallup, that does mean something in and of itself.

By August those lines are gonna cross. by 2010 Obama will be so toxic that no one will ask him to campaign for them in their re-election bids to congress. Think the 1994 flip in control of congress was bad for Democrats.... 2010 is going to make it look like preschool. The democrats are going to be ridden out on rails. Bubai Nancy, I look forward to seeing her lose her totle, AND will enjoy watching her lose election to hold even the Minority Whip Position. Nancy’s house of cards is about to all fall down. Obama’s numbers are just the first indicator.

Ah...... we can’t give up now folks, if your district is up for Re-Election in 2010, get involved and help get your own local Big Government jerk out of office!

Agree. Also I believe that Gallup polls adults for these polls. Not a good sign for Camp Obama. His drop has not been to the point of a free-fall over the last few weeks, but he is definitely drifting.

“by 2010 Obama will be so toxic that no one will ask him to campaign for them in their re-election bids to congress”

That is key. If he becomes so toxic that those within the party are telling him to stay away, then you have to wonder if he will face a strong primary challenge within.

Seems like it. Rasmussen had him at 53/46 but negative 2 for strongly approve vs. strongly disapprove. Would like to see some analysis, but I think it is the revulsion to policy that is starting to manifest itself.

Again, I did not think that he would be below 60 in Gallup until at least the fall given his trends.

The Gallup results pretty much mirrors Rassmussen, I follow both each day.. the outliers is the NYTimes, ABC, NBC, etc., but even their latest polls are showing slippage.

Hussein needs to be at a 9% approval. And that should be his high water mark. He is the worst President of my lifetime.

He is James Buchanan bad. Horrible.

Rasmussen has a more drastic disapproval number. Spread for this report is +22; Ras has +7. I think it is in the sauce that Gallup uses to classify disapproval.

If this poll says 57 he ain’t even above 50. This neo-Socialist Democrat is in trouble as is their party.

Is this supposed to be some sort of surprise?

The only reason it's still as high as it is? Most libs won't admit they got sold snake oil. They will just try to get YOU to buy it too so they don't feel so damn stupid.

FWIW, a straight line approximation shows approval and disapproval crossing right about 9/11.

You can’t make this stuff up...

What does an approval rating really matter? As long as he occupies the WH, he can still destroy the nation regardless of the rating.

I know, Congress, the Constitution, etc. But look how much damage he has already been able to do.

Let's hope so!

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."
~ Norman Thomas, former U. S. Socialist Presidential Candidate (1936 and many other years)”

"We cannot expect Americans to jump from capitalism to communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving Americans doses of socialism until they suddenly awake to find out they have communism." - Nikita S. Khrushchev

"It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American descent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive*, hapless sheeple*…. The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama …”
~ ~ Pravda, May 2009

I also think it makes the propaganda czar Gibbs think twice about using the “we won, so that is the end of discussion” line when questioned on a topic they don't want to answer.

Also, Dem presidents have also been much more concerned about polls than Republicans. If they are sensing a shift, you will see much more touchy feely rhetoric coming out of the Whitehouse and a more concerted effort towards “bi-partisanship”.

It should be standard practice to show the exact wording of the questions that the polling organizations are asking. That would help in interpreting the differences in results.

Liberals are disappointed that he hasn’t pulled troops out of Iraq/Afghanistan and other liberal issues he promised to address, but has put off.

Everyone is disappointed that the economy isn’t visibly improving. Other than the stock market comeback, there aren’t many other indicators that things are really getting better. The jobless rate is horrendous. Porkulus is a bust. People are starting to be alarmed at the climbing debt and Obama’s nonchalance toward it.

This is good news, but we need it to get down around or just under the 50% approval to stop national health care and a myriad of other government takeovers...

It read.... “Obama Sucks”

I can’t believe the sea change. I’ve got relatives who are life-long democrats who have always argued for big government, now openly criticizing Barry’s power grabs on the auto industry, banking industry and now health insurance. I mean, my lefty sister has even been sending emails out to everyone on her email list opening and crudely insulting Obama’s ideas.

It’s shocking to the former family black sheep (conservative) to finally see your dem relatives agree with you! It’s gotten so bad, some have even started to quote Ann Coulter! HA Ha.

2010 is going to make 1994 seem tame in comparison.
