Israel is concerned about the re-election of hardline Iranian PresidentMahmoud Ahmadinejad, saying it will increase regional tensions andinstability.

Danny Ayalon (Israel's Deputy Foreign Minister) issued a statement saying the election results show that Iran will continue its quest for nuclear weapons.

He said if "any shred of hope for change in Iran," the election demonstrates the increasing Iranian threat. Ayalon urged the international community to take tougher action to stop Iran'snuclear program and said there should be no dialogue with the Islamic Republic.

That seemed to be a clear reference to U.S. President Barack Obama's plan to open talks with Iran.

Is now a good time to bomb Iran's nuclear sites? My opinion is to bomb Iran nukes NOW while there is all the protests in progress for diversion.

I’m waiting for Medvedev to voice his support for the mullahs and Ahmedinejad. That is no doubt coming.

PLD and all,

Yes we know the bama won't do diddly. Imagine though if you were the President what would you do? I would bomb Iran nukes NOW because...

1. Mullah's and Ahmadenijad highly unpopular worldwide and within Iran. Less likely to garner world sympathy.

2. Communications networks in Iran already censored/contolled. Hit them in a confused state of networks.

3. Bombing nukes now would cause the mullah's to deal with two crisis at once and divert resources.

4. No matter the pros or cons it would accomplish the mission of retarding the mullah's dreams for nukes and show the world USA stands against evil madmen.

I'm envisioning a fantasy scenario ---I know that with the ZERO at the helm.

" He has insisted that nothing will stop Iran's nuclear research."

Situations can evolve a great deal in a week. (Statement was reported 06/13.)

Yes, in fact I've been discussing that prospect since last week with friends. Unfortunately we know 0bama will not do a damn thing except read lukewarm prepared statements from a teleprompter and defer to the UN for stronger sanctions.

Israel should take the initiative and go for it.
