Protesters in Iran are hailing 26-year-old Neda Soltan as a martyr after graphic videos of her apparent murder at a protest in Tehran hit the Internet. Iran experts say images of her bloody death have galvanized the country and that mourning for her — which has been banned by authorities — will bring deeper unrest.
"Neda," whose identity could not be verified by FOXNews.com, was reportedly gunned down by paramilitary police Saturday during protests in the capital city. Videos posted on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter show her bleeding from the nose and mouth as a crowd tries unsuccessfully to stanch the flow and save her life.
The video also shows a moving clip of a man identified as her professor cradling her head and yelling out, "Neda, don't be afraid. Neda, stay with me. Neda stay with me!”

The eyebrows, nose and lips are identical.
I mean: it does you credit that you are skeptical, but I believe these are indeed images of the same person.

They could be the same, what with make up and hairstyles now a days. My daughter can look drastically different from day to day as she is an aspiring model!
None the less... she has already become far more powerful in death than she could have hoped to ever be in life. Kind of a shame, really.

Well, not so much skeptical, just the slight difference making me wonder if there was an age difference of a few years. But, then too, there is so much disinformation flying around on the net, you still wonder about things - you know what I mean.

I just spoke with an Iranian friend. He says the death count is 780 NOT the 17 as reported in the MSM. He is a doctor.

I don’t doubt that figure at all, in fact it may be much greater than that, unfortunately - and that doesn’t take into account the thousands of critically injured, chemically burned, the bruised and beaten, etc.
I think it’s the same person. I believe the top picture has been airbrushed, however.
Then Obama will have lots of blood on his hands, not only Iranian but also Israeli, Iraqi, and the blood of American soldiers (When the Iranians retaliate against us after Israel attacks their nuclear reactors) on his hands because of his inaction.
I hope this turns into a full-blown revolution... as do so many others, but we all fear that exactly. Being beaten, burned, injured and killed by the thousands, the ‘revolution’ could be killed before it gets the support it so well deserves.
Reminds me of another “June Rebellion” with the young taking a chance to further freedom for their generation.

You might be right - it is so easy to ‘clean up’ any photo these days. But, one thing is certain, we’ve only began to see pictures of her. Others will surface as time goes on... just my bet.

As a portrait painter, I see the pictures as two different women with some similarties. The eyebrows, mouth, nose, chin and jaw line look different.

Yes, though the pics look like they were taken a few years apart. The top picture is a passport photo. I know my drivers license photo doesn’t look other photos of me. Anyway, I believe both are of Neda.
