I heard ABC News report on the radio at 2:00 PM today that made me sick. They had "sources" that stated that the "Neda" video of her being shot and dying on the street "was definitely not from an Iranian security force" and "appeared to be staged to get international attention". I guess I can't be too surprised. The liberals at ABC News are running propoganda broadcasts for Obama, so why not for the Iranian dictators? Besides, that fight for freedom in Iran is none of our business. ABC and the rest of the American left need to squelch it because the neocons might get all riled up, right?

What do you expect from those bastards. They don’t even have enough compassion for a human being DYING in the streets. I have no connection to Iran and my heart goes out to them for their suffering. I believe in karma, anyone that can call what happened to Neda as “staged” will have to answer to God one day
Say what you will about liberals, but this Conservative was and still is skeptical on the video.

Me, having regrettably watched it — I just don’t see how it could have been faked. It was appalling. Blood pours out, no blinking, no coughing, no bubbles.
OTOH it seems weird - hurried burial, no body, no funeral, supposedly by government order. So no evidence.
HSAT, I still think it was legit. Ghastly, horrid, unforgettable, legit.
She’s another “Joe the Plumber” a rallying figure and therefore must be taken down, even in death.

Skeptical that she died or skeptical in that she planned to die on camera (and therefore a sting, “***** set me up” - Mayor Marrion Barry).
I questioned it too. For her sake, I hope it was faked. But regardless, I want to see the mullahs brought down....and executed.
As I heard it (I think from CNN) it’s government figures from Iran that are babbling about it being fake. (No surprise.)

I too saw it, it didn’t look fake. Then again, I’ve never seen anyone shot and killed before. I have to say it was disturbing in a way that movie death scenes are not. But maybe that’s just because I knew it was real.

I’m skeptical, but my skepticism is centered around who shot her. And you have to laugh and snort at a news outlet that expresses skepticism about the incident yet buys Arab bullsh!t by the barrel.

Was the game changed when the National Guardsmen fired upon the protestors at Kent State in May 1970? This was used as one of the reasons to generate great emotion about the President of that time.

I'm no authority on the subject, but I believe that muslim burial practices call for a very quick burial. I absolutely remember cases when people were killed in Gaza or the West Bank, and were buried later that same day in a very public way.
Maybe someone else can shed some more light on the subject.
On the other hand, I have seen people with severe chest trauma, and while there's sometimes a lot of blood, I have never seen blood in the volumes that were portrayed in the video.
I'm on the fence, but I'm sure that we have some physicians or first responders on the board that could give a more informed opinion of what's on the tape.
Icons always make me skeptical. They’re too much like straw men...Easy to set up, easy to knock down. (Just look at all the ones we’ve seen come and go in the political news in the past year.)
And, like straw men, they’re often set up by your opponent. Then you look like a fool when they’re knocked down.

I think muslims are buried within 24 hours or by sundown on the day of death. Ditto with Israeli Jews.

I predict someday we will see an outpouring of rage against the “News” networks and “Journalists.” It will be very, very ugly.
If it’s fake as the Iranian government claims, there is one simple way to prove it. This was a real person, she existed. Produce her, either the body or the living person. Seems simple enough to me. Until they produce the actual living, breathing person, I’m going to assume that she is at room temperature....

Yep. There’s another video of a young man dying the same way that looks staged, too. Even Fox News was being very cautious about it last night.

This poor girl and her family are not even permitted to mourn her death, by order of the government.

But if the mullahs say the Neda death video is a fake, why by gosh golly then, it must be a fake!
I don’t grab onto individuals as martyrs in this struggle, so its not important in the overall scheme to me, as it appears to be to other folks. (though I’d much prefer if that beautiful girl were still alive). I just want the mullahs dead, and a new revolution in Iran to succeed. I’d prefer we help them out with weapons and a few choice assassinations.
I hope it was staged, that means a beautiful young women would still be alive.

I remember back when that kid had his head sawed off in Iraq. When the video came out there were more than a few right here on the FR swearing it was a fake. Blood doesn't flow like that. The scream sounded phony. The head looked fake. There would be more blood than that. The blood flow lasted too long. The blood flow ended too soon, and on and on they went.
