EXCLUSIVE: U.S. contacted Iran's ayatollah before election
Washington Times ^ | 6/24/09 | Barbara Salvin

Prior to this month's disputed presidential election in Iran, the Obama administration sent a letter to the country's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, calling for an improvement in relations, according to interviews and the leader himself.

Ayatollah Khamenei confirmed the letter toward the end of a lengthy sermon last week, in which he accused the United States of fomenting protests in his country in the aftermath of the disputed June 12 presidential election.

U.S. officials declined to discuss the letter on Tuesday, a day in which President Obama gave his strongest condemnation yet of the Iranian crackdown against protesters.

I think Major Garret was on to something. Obama is all smoke and mirrors he already was working behind the scenes with Iran prior to the election, notice how this tidbit was absent from today's lectures... Obama is far from condemning the illegitimate election of Amadmanjihadi. Obama is still of the mind that they can sit and share a Hookah and talk about what it will be like in a Post Israeli world.

Obama was angry at Garret...because Garret was spot on target.

Obama is in a dilema of his own anti-traditional American making.

George Bush's legacy and fight endures in the Mid East, despite, and in spite of Obama, and THAT is Obama's real dilema.

It was George Bush's policy of direct engagement and support of liberty that has led to the people of Iran seeing the measure of freedom now established on both sides of them in Iraq and Afghjanistan...and desiring it for themselves.

Obama cannot possibly go too far in recognizing that, or he absolutely repudiates himself and his entire foreign policy.

...but the fight in Iran is far from over, and is getting brutal.

“On the one hand, they [the Obama administration] write a letter to us to express their respect for the Islamic Republic and for re-establishment of ties, and on the other hand they make these remarks. Which one of these remarks are we supposed to believe?”

Like I said ;),

They took “respect for the Islamic Republic” to mean respect for the government, different than past presidents who used only “Iran.” They cannot understand Obama. But who really does?

American history will not favor President Øcoward no matter what his excuses, and in the sad event the protesters are crushed,

pictures of the oppressor Ahmadinejad and the appeaser Øbama together will be a small part of what else the Iranian crackdown now hides by kicking out the press

Dear Ayatollah Ali Khamenei,

No matter which way the winds are blowing I will support your wishes on who you chose as the President of Iran. As a little boy I learned that the sweetest sound on earth is the Ayatollah’s call to Prayer to wipe out the anti-islam infidels.

Sincerely,

BHO

To me, the most gut-wrenching thing Obama has said, and recently reiterated, is that Muslim women have the right to cover themselves in the burqa or nigab in America. Praise God for Sarkozy who will institute a total ban in France if he is successful.

This removal of a woman’s face and identity is brutal and often to cover bruises. Tunisia banned the face coverings and lo and behold, they have no problem with extremists and a booming tourist industry.

Timmerman tells Bob Grant: Obama and Clinton secretly negotiating with Iran
Bob Grant show | 03.07.08 | Perdogg

Posted on Friday, March 07, 2008 9:04:13 PM by Perdogg

Author Kenneth Timmermann was on Bob Grant’s radio show tonight and he said that both the Obama and Clinton campaigns were secretly negotiating with the Iranian Islamic Republic.

Timmermann said his source said that Obama has promised to recognized the Islamic Republic of Iran in exchange for a scale down nuclear weapons program. It also included what influence Iran would have in Iraq.

The Islamic Republic believes that Obama has a better chance in the winning the election.

I have heard Timmermann before and he seems to be a credible person even though he writes for Newsmax. He throughly documents and sources what he says.

The problem is that the Administration is still committed to its “diplomacy” with the Iran regime. Anything that the regime does is irrelevant. It doesn’t matter. The Administration’s stated policy is one of neutrality - despite the declarations of concern.

I long for a government that would be “crass” enough to look out after U.S. interests, and not everyone else’s.

THAT is the mantra which will stick, and will sink him.

Obama is a coward.

(He's a scrawny metrosexual, obviously dominated by his henpecking wife. And he wants to get rid of pick-up trucks and downsize the military. All we are missing is the feather boa and autographed photo of him with Richard Simmons.)

Cheers!
