Is to give everyone a more or less equal tax break so all could buy health insurance tax free and -- and with them just like a 401K. There is -- widespread agreement that the current system is unfair. And that every tax -- should get some tax relief for the purchase of health insurance.
But one analyst says the biggest growth in the uninsured has come from an increase in immigration both legal and illegal in 1989 on. More than 70% of the increase. In the total number of uninsured people is immigrants or they're young kids.

Everyone gets a piece of nothing under 0’s rule(except for him of course)
Lots are old “gappers” like me.
I’m 61 and had health insurance at my previous temporary job(one yr contract), the COBRA would have literally consumed 40% of my take-home and my new job has no bennies, so I decided to go under my wife’s insurance. Problem is, the “enrollment period” is one month -—in April only, and then does not become effective until July. So I’ve been going without, taking a chance for 8 months in the gap, which ends June 30th.
Insurance on your own at age 61 is astonishingly expensive and so full of caveats that the “coverage”(talk about abuse of the language) is such that even if you pay the premiums, there’s a boatload of loopholes.
I’m in great health, no pre-exists
Basically the military heath care is what “national health care” would be. We don’t get to pick our doctors, have to make appointments for various ailments. I don’t have a problem with either of these. The only thing that I oppose about national health care is that it will be VERY expensive and that people’s taxes will go through the roof. I don’t think that people should worry too much about having their own doctor. If it is good for the military it should be good for everyone IMHO.
Well, right off the too, 50% of them are illegal aliens.

“Physician Disputes Obamas Claim of 46 Million Uninsured Americans”
Wednesday, June 24, 2009
By Penny Starr, Senior Staff Writer
SNIPPET: “(CNSNews.com) An Arizona orthopedic surgeon testified in Congress on Tuesday that President Obama’s claim that 46 million Americans dont have health insurance is not accurate because it does not reflect exactly who those people are and why they are uninsured.
Dr. Eric Novack testified before the House Energy and Commerces Subcommittee on Health about the Obama administrations proposed health care legislation. Afterward, he told CNSNews.com that the Obama administration’s claim that there are 46 million uninsured people in America includes people with different health care scenarios and that combining them togehter in one number is misleading.
If we start breaking down those numbers a bit—and again these will be round numbers—but about 9 to 10 million of those people are in the country illegally, Novack said.
Another 15 million are what he called chronically uninsured, because of pre-existing health problems or other mitigating factors.”
