Obviously Sanford knew these emails were about to be released. The local media has been sitting on them for five months. Who released them and why now?
Mrs. Sanford separate from the Governor two weeks ago I heard. So Marks campaign for President was over before it started.
I am fed up with people in the public eye who do not take their marriage vows seriously. He was a nut and she was too for going after a married man. I might as well add Jon and Kate to this, too. It seems the whole world has gone wacky. Do not get married if you have no intentions of keeping your vows to each other.

There was probably some sort of blackmail/threat that if he didn’t admit the affair, the emails would go public. Wouldn’t surprise me if the emails/affair was used against him in the whole stimulus debate in SC.
Where does it say they were FOIA material? Why would a governor use state email systems for personal communications? Why not use a Yahoo account? lol
There is no ‘freedom’ to people’s private emails. Something doesn’t sound right with that.
I question the timing of this and Ensign’s personal affairs. Series, er, seriously.

He is a RINO cause he cheated on his wife and sent mash emials to his girlfriend? Um seriously? It sounds like you still need to wise up. What does that have to do with his political philosophy?

I don’t remember what you said that led me to post “wise up” to you, if it was that Sanford isn’t the savviest guy in the world (world wind tour?) I guess you were right but certainly he is not a RINO. He’s been the best Governor in the country.
Sanford is scum. That said, the press has investigated more about him in 24 hours than they have on Obama...ever.
That's what I'm wondering. Either her, or someone close to her leaked them. Another possibility is an admin of the email system he was using got them and gave them to the paper. A 'hacker' compromising his/her system, or email server is also plausible.
Sounds to me like he knew the emails were going public and that’s why he was so chatty in the presser. He mentioned the affair was found out about five months ago and the sex began a year prior ... all point to the emails.
Who knows what’s what. He’s been emailing his Argentinian friend for EIGHT years.
