WASHINGTON -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has scheduled a vote Friday on a sprawling climate-change bill, signaling the Democratic leadership's confidence that it can overcome objections from Farm Belt Democrats.

H.R. 2371:2009-2010 To use tradable greenhouse gas emission allowances under the American Clean Energy and Security 111th CongressThis is a bill in the U.S. Congress originating in the House of Representatives ("H.R."). A bill must be passed by both the House and Senate and then be signed by the President before it becomes law. Bill numbers restart from 1 every two years. Each two-year cycle is called a session of Congress. This bill was created in the 111th Congress, in 2009-2010. The titles of bills are written by the bill's sponsor and are a part of the legislation itself.
Aren’t there enough Blue Dog Democrats who don’t want to vote for sharply higher energy bills?
Don’t Democrats have enough on their plates without going to the cap and trade nonsense???????
Is this the “throw spaghetti at the wall” system? If you throw spaghetti at a wall, some of it will stick. Is that why Obama and Democrats keep throwing out these things all at once, so that some of it will slip through?????
Times like these were made for filibusters, meaning, let’s take a deep breath and slow down. The earth has been here for a few billion years. The earth will still be here if we don’t pass cap and trade right now. Healthcare has been a simmering festering problem for many years. No need to rush something through. Illegal immigration has been festering for many years too. No need to just ram it through.
Don’t Obama and Democrats have to review their car sales numbers? The end of the quarter is coming up. Don’t they have their hands full with some things they have already done, such as mortgage changes, bank bailouts, car bailouts, Joe Biden supervising Porkulus, etc. etc. etc.????????
24 Hours to Stop the Energy Tax
Speaker Nancy Pelosi wants the U.S. House to vote at the end of this week on the Waxman-Markey National Energy Tax (House Bill 2454) and we need to defeat it. To fight back, we created this TV ad, and we need your help to get it on the air.

May Nancy Pelosi and her ilk get what they deserve.
They are EVIL and .....I’ve no more words for them.
They could care less about poll numbers, etc. They have their agenda and think they won’t be affected. I’m to the point where I think it will be best to have the bad times come on.
Everything Obama signs into law is invalid if he is not eligible to be POTUS.
P.S. I expect them to waffle on this one with all sorts of reasons why not.
Say “Goodbye” to the American economy.
Once again, you have to ask.... What’s the F’n hurry, Bela?
You are aware that Nanzi had a closed meeting to set this up so she could bring it to a vote on Friday..
TAKE ACTION ..

Sorry but we live in a Banana Republic. Let the killer bill go forward. The only way to get back is when all implodes. Let's get it on now rather than latter.
The hurry is that the climate has been cooling since 1998. They can’t keep the charade up for much longer as this year looks to be even colder still.
They get this legislation enacted, and in say - oh - by 2012 they can pull out all of the temperature records and say “See how well this works? And in only 3 years!”
>>> Let the killer bill go forward. The only way to get back is when all implodes. Let’s get it on now rather than latter.
One might think that the dems will be shocked when their plans force us into a depression that surpasses the last...
One might think that out of chaos we can regain reason.
We had better step back and take another look.
Our enemies have been working on this one for a long time.
It should be quite obvious by now that from their perspective their plans are succeeding beyond their wildest dreams. It is the very implosion itself which yields our enemies their greatest opportunity to defeat us forever.
I’m in agreement with you... the only way to get back is for this all to implode. The federal government is no longer an instrument of the states but rather the means by which states HAVE lost their sovereignty.
This however is NOT the time to let ANYTHING go by without a fight. If we ever are blessed to have legitimate elections again, it is important for the populace to understand the issues, know who fought for freedom, and identify those who sought to remove it.
I believe the eligibility issue will actually be this nation’s salvation... IF we succeed in electing enough representatives who actually understand what the constitution is all about, and have the balls to do what is necessary, Our only hope will be for them to counter this blatant attack on our democracy from within by nullifying the entire term of the administration. If All that Obama does turns out to be invalid, then there will be no congressional work to do to reverse it.
That was my point.
Let it pass? HELL NO!
Be ready for the implosion? Damb straight!

Let’s let it hit the fan. It’ll wake up the idiots. We’ll all suffer, but, our side will be better prepared. Sorry, that’s the way it is.
Sorry, but even if "our" side gets a majority in Congress, nothing will be repealed. THE ONE will veto. There is nothing left for us Constitutionalists to do, except for civil disobedience. I say just ignore their Marxist/socialist agendas and legislation, State by State!
WE THE PEOPLE, and the States are at a crossroads. WE either accept all this socialist crap being forced upon us, or we simply DON'T accept it. What is the Fedgov going to do if we (the States) don't accept the un-Constitutional laws and mandates? Are they going to sick the military on us? Not likely.
There are more States by the month saying they won't accept further intrusion by the Obambi Fedgov. Some are even talking about secession. If DC wants a fight, I say bring it on!!! This is not the 1860's; the military will NOT fire on their own family.
I firmly believe that if just 10 States were to tell Obambi, Reid, Pelosi, et al to shove their "cap & trade" and "fedgov health care" up their backsides and not abide by their obscene legislation, it would be the turning point back to Federalism.
What could they do? Threaten to withhold Fed funds? Okay, so what?
I called Shaddeg, who will vote against it, then attempted to get Boehners office, but was greeted by a simpleton who kept repeating that the office was closed and there was no answering service. I will call Pelosi’s office tomorrow. That should be fun.
How can they repeal cap n tax if Obama is still president?
Why bother? I'm much more worried about health care.
The Obama-Waxman-Malarkey Energy Tax will fall mainly on the "little people", who voted for Bambi because they thought Hope meant Hand-out. But, unlike Obama-Care (the real threat), it has no built-in constituency. When it starts to hurt, it turns into a weapon to oust the "progressives". Meanwhile, here in Malarkey's district, it's now summer time, but it's still raining and in the 50's. And it will warm the cockles of my heart if my neighbors are forced to go deeper in debt to afford their energy bills!
" the American people deserve what they want and they're going to get it good and hard"......
Thirty pieces of silver for farm belt representatives who vote for this suicide pact in exchange for short term carbon credits.

I was going to call my reps in the Senate and House, but I decided ‘why bother?’. This fight was lost last November, the rest is inevitable. I’m putting my energies into getting myself and family through the coming depression and wars.
The difference is now Democrats control things - Legislative and Executive. They want to ram all their liberal wet dreams through just in case Acorn can’t come through with enough illegal fraudulent votes in 2010 and 2012 to keep them in power.
But if it does pass, let’s hope that all the Republicans voted no so that when the pain starts hitting the citizens in their personal lives, we can point fingers and blame Democrats. They will own it, lock, stock and barrel.
>>> But if it does pass, lets hope that all the Republicans voted no so that when the pain starts hitting the citizens in their personal lives, we can point fingers and blame Democrats.
Doesn’t matter... democrats will find something else to explain the pain that they can blame the republicans for,
and the media will back them up.
That’s why instead of us fighting congress, we should be crucifying the media.
Hello? Anybody Home? All I am seeing on FOX is laudatory coverage of Michael Jackson—tho I am thankful that Sanford has been thrown off the front page and feel sympathy for the Jackson family, HR5424 is coming to vote and it is huge. Hope people are aware and have called their Reps on this.
