Obama Refuses to Pledge He'd Accept Health Care Plan Limits On *His Own* Family
Vanity comments on this ABC article ^

Elites often propose health care solutions that limit options for the general public, secure in the knowledge that if they or their loves ones get sick, they will be able to afford the best care available, even if it's not provided by insurance.

Devinsky asked the president pointedly if he would be willing to promise that he wouldn't seek such extraordinary help for his wife or daughters if they became sick and the public plan he's proposing limited the tests or treatment they can get.

The president refused to make such a pledge, though he allowed that if "it's my family member, if it's my wife, if it's my children, if it's my grandmother, I always want them to get the very best care.

Just like his choice to avoid DC's public K-12 schools and pick the elite Sidwell Friends for his own kids.

Governmet crap -- Good enough for you and yours, not for me and mine.

Don’t count on any charges of “hypocrisy” swaying any leftists away from full support of 0bama.

Leftists don’t even believe in the concept when it comes to their “elite” (of which they all consider themselves part of).

If you want to understand the mindset, think FEUDALISM. They are the nobility, the masses are the peasants. Different rules and laws for both groups.

In their viewpoint:
It is entirely DESIRABLE for them to have different rules.
And, it is entirely NECESSARY for them not to be constrained by the rules place on us. Constraining them would hinder their implementation (imposition) of their “superior vision” on the rest of us.

An excellent question to ask every congress critter.

Publicly.

Multiple times a day.

By scores of reporterettes and constituents.

Let them eat cake
Under the Obama Health Care Plan it would have to be sugar free, fat free, hormone free, taste free cake.

The GOP is pretty lame. Too many of them believe that if one foot is cut off, they should cut off the other one to be more balanced.

I can understand a PRESIDENT sending his kids to a better, more easily secured school.

But it isn’t because he’s president that he’s demanding different rules for his family - it’s because he’s an elitist.

Exactly right. Kudos. (Whatever kudos means).

And the reason that leftists and liberals cling to their political views is because of social anxieties. they are continuallyin a state of status panic. To accept reason and/or conservative ideas means a loss of social status. That’s it.

Everybody else must take this health care policy EXCEPT Government workers.
They have their own insurance. And its the best that money can buy.
So why can't we all just join theirs?

Never be surprised. This is exactly what you get when you have the media not doing their job. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Obama is heading down that path as no one is keeping him in check.

If we apply Obama’s health care argument to schools... if public insurance is needed to keep private insurance honest, aren’t private school vouchers needed to keep public schools honest?

For Obama and the Dems, when it comes to health care, education, and benefits for themselves and their own families,
