Just received an email message from YankeeDame's husband. She suffered a stroke two weeks ago and is in the hospital and is in need of our prayers and support.
Here is his message:
"My wife has been a member for a number of years now... A true Freeper. She loved to post articles on Free Republic to bring enjoyment to others. Many articles she posted were comical or interesting and some about events very important to us all. She liked to focus on articles drawn from news sources overseas to add a slightly different flavor and prospective. She also loved to challenge opinions and be challenged in turn by her friends within Free Republic. Well.... She suffered a stroke two weeks ago that effects her left side. She can't use her left arm or leg and her field of vision is cut in half. I have only posted one comment myself on Free Republic and do not remember How its done. (She was helping me at the time.) I just have one request. Would one kind soul please post a request for prayers in my stead for my wife. Her name is Barbara, currently at the Miami Valley Hospital 4th floor in Dayton Ohio. She is weak and very unhappy she can not partake of her daily dose of Freepers and misses all the great people that contribute daily to her life via Free Republic! Please give me some help on this one. I hope some will wish her well. She will be ever so grateful!!!! Of that I am certain. Thank you for your help!"

Godspeed. My father had a stroke about a year ago and it is tough sledding but you can make a full recovery. Get well!

HEALING CONFESSION
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Living Word. You said that Your Word is Life to those who find it and medicine to all their flesh. Today, by my confession, I apply Your Word to my body by giving voice to it. You said in Psalm 139:14 that we are fearfully and wonderfully made and that Your works are marvelous. I declare that You made us and we are a marvelous creation.
I speak to sickness and disease today and proclaim that according to Philippians 2:10 that they must bow down to the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Every name in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth bows its knee to Jesus’ name.
I speak to my body today and declare that we have authority over it. I command it to receive the Word of God. Matthew 8:17 proclaims that Jesus bore our sickness and took our infirmities. Heavenly Father, I thank you that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us and makes alive our mortal body.
I speak to my immune system and command it to line up with the Word of God. My immune system will destroy sickness and disease in my body and perform its job, for this is what You created it to do. I thank you, Father, that every cell in my body responds to Your Word. Your Word permeates my body from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet. I confess that the Word of God is being made flesh in us. Psalm 103:3 declares that You, Father, forgave all our iniquities and healed all our diseases. Father, that is Your confession and I make it my confession, also. We don't judge by the sight of our eyes; we judge by Your Living Word. It is Your Word that lives in us and brings health and healing to every part of our body.
Heavenly Father, I rejoice at Your promise of divine health. You said it and I believe it. Today I declare that I will see Your promise of healing manifest in my body. Healing is mine because Jesus paid the price two thousand years ago. God so loved us that He sent His Son to die on the cross so that we could experience life on God's terms. His abundant life is manifesting in us. Make us whole ~ body, soul, and spirit. Amen ...
Psalm 118:17-18 ~ “I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the Lord. The Lord has chastened me sorely, but he has not given me over to death.”
YankeeDame!! .... you've now got, in my unbiased opinion...the BEST group of prayer(s) on your team.
To your hubby...will you please write to Jim again with updates, when you can?
