House to continue Energy Bill Debate with Possible Vote Today
Later today, the House will continue general debate on the American Clean Energy & Security Act, Pres. Obama's climate change legislation. The bill centers on a renewable electicity standard, encouraging the use of renewable energy and a cap-and-trade policy.

Rep. Waxman (D-pig snout, CA) just intdroduced his bill....without disclosing another 300 pages and last minute admendments who, God knows what, is included.
Anyways....we are in for a helluv an afternoon, with our Constitutional Republic at stake at the worst, and our capitalist, free market way of life at the best.
How about people posting a nose count here.
My rep Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA) is a NO VOTE.

For everyone trying to get through to your Rep’s DC office only to encounter a busy signal...
All these folks have local offices scattered around their district - usually at least one in the largest city/town. Search the phone book or web phonebook yellow pages under the Rep’s name.
You can also get the local district office number and address off the Rep’s web page (they all have one).
One final obaservation... E-mail is great, but I feel it’s not nearly as effective as a phone call. From a phone call, the staffer can hear your passion and understand just how important you consider this to be. Plus - they understand it’s not spam or a robo-fax.
Looks like Vic Snyder (D)-2nd District, AR is the only one of our Congress Critters to NOT vote no (he’s still debating it says staff) ...which means that he will do whatever Nancy says.....

We need to start working the Seante side. The house wouldn’t be putting this to a vote unless they knew they had enough. Might be close, but will most likely pass. Only chance to head it off is in the Senate.
My understanding is that the entire Alabama delegation will be voting NO - with the possible exception of Rep. Artur Davis. I have called his DC office and local office and respectfully begged he vote No.

As someone pointed out a couple of weeks ago, Waxman, Markey, Algore and the Dems are telling us that if we will only tolerate their raising our taxes AND our cost of living, they will be able to control the weather. And the entire MSM believes them.
This is insane....1200 page bills....and they are getting passed WITHOUT our true representation.
