WASHINGTON A Duke University official has been arrested and charged with offering his adopted five-year-old son for sex.
Frank Lombard, the school's associate director of the Center for Health Policy, was arrested after an Internet sting, according to the FBI's Washington field office and the city's police department.
According to an affidavit by DC Police Det. Timothy Palchak, an unnamed informant facing charges in his own child sex case led authorities to Lombard.
Authorities said that Lombard tried to persuade a person whom he did not know was a police officer to travel to North Carolina to have sex with Lombard's child.

The detective's affidavit charges Lombard identified himself online as "perv dad for fun," and says that in an online chat with the detective, Lombard said he had sexually molested his son, whom he adopted as an infant. This "news report" tactfully avoids pointing out whether or not the pervdad adopted the child as part of a gay "family" or as a single gay adoption. Inquiring minds want to know.

More about Frank Lombard from 27 November, 2007:
Frank Lombard, associate director of the Health Inequalities Program at Dukes Center for Health Policy, recently received funding for two research projects on services to patients with HIV/AIDS in this area: The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is providing nearly $2.5 million to fund CADET (the Carolina Alcohol and Drug Abuse Expansion Team); and the Health Resources and Services Administration has provided more than $1.5 million to develop a Regional Health Information Consortium (RHIC) in partnership with Wake Forest University Health Sciences.
Remember, this fellow has only been accused, not convicted.

If the charges are true, then there is not a single method of punishment which can be inflicted on this individual which I would consider “cruel and unusual”.

mom needds to apply for an Order of Protection today and file for divorce asap no visitation You're assuming that there is a mom. Since there's nothing in the story about a mom or any gleeful references to Republicans, we may be onto something in the suspicion that this is a gay adoption by a default Democrat. Most big-time universities are crawling with GBLTs and other haters of traditional values.

Yeah, I know that a lot of people won’t be advocating abortion, but when you think about it, if the kid is still alive, at least there’s a chance of something better. But, when you kill your kid, you’ve ended all the kid’s chances, permanently.
So, the way I think about it, if someone would think that this guy would deserve the death penalty, then that means there are a lot of parents around, right now, who deserve the death penalty about ten times worse than this guy does...

Anytime anyone tries to tell you male homosexuality is not a mental disorder, and they are collectively just like everyone else, just keep this one FACT in mind.
A homosexual man is 44 times more likely to be a pedophile than a heterosexual male.
Now I understand not all gay men are predators, but please don’t tell me collectively, as a group, that the Boy Scouts are evil for refusing not to ignore the facts.
To: Axeslinger
"The warrant says Lombard lives in Durham with a gay partner, and that he has two adopted children." Who'd a thunk it?Thank you for digging up what seemed immediately apparent, but was shielded from the public by the article reporter and editor. How very politically correct of them.
