To these eight republicans:

"A nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly against the city. But the traitor moves among those within the gates freely, his sly whispers rustling through all alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears no traitor; he speaks in the accents familiar to his victim, and he wears their face and their garments and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation; he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city; he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared. The traitor is the plague." — Marcus Tullius Cicero.

Eight great reasons to freeze contributions to the GOP until they are expelled. A little discipline would go a long way toward cleansing the party. It will hurt lots less now than when they betray us again.

Quite Conveniently, their websites won’t let you send an email with out-of-state zip codes. They don’t think they have to answer to the American people.

The only way to change what these idiots in Washington DC are doing is to impose our own term limits on them. Give ‘em all the boot and if the good ones (if there are any) want their jobs back, they can reapply next time around.

Incredibly, ultra RINO Mark Kirk never gets a primary challenger, even when Mark "I support the troops" Kirk voted against the surge, no Republican in his district challenged him over it. I feel sorry for Illinois Republicans in the 10th district. Their November general election vote for Congress is basically a Democrat primary where the candidates argue over who's more liberal.

It was so bad last time that freeper PhilCollins filed as a last minute write-in candidate against Kirk when he learned no real Republican bothered to get on the ballot.

And Kirk's district isn't even the socialist super Dem-filled commune his apologists claim it is. His district is actually about 50% Republican and one of the wealthiest districts in America. Many Republicans more conservative than Kirk have won over parts of the district. This RINO votes to the LEFT of his constituents.

Kirk is another Lincoln Chafee/Arlen Specter waiting for the right time to make his move for statewide office. I don't care what party he claims to be, Kirk is a Democrat at heart.

Did any of you consider that it's YOUR faults for not electing at least 9 more Republican Congressmen?

Oh no, of course not, this way you can continue to act like petulant children as GOP numbers dwindle.

Then, we can go into these battles hopelessly out numbered and when the dust settles you can pick out 8-10 “RINOs” to hurl invectives and empty threats toward.

I am sending the following fax to each one of them tonight...

Congressman _______,

I want to alert you to the fact that I, a life-long Republican, professional 40-something wife and mother, fly out of my home state on Monday morning for my job and return home on Friday to spend the weekend with my family. I do this so that our family can survive financially. Why, you ask, would my family not move so we can be together, or my husband not earn enough so that we can survive without this being our life?

It is because the economy in this country SUCKS and we are doing all we can to keep our heads above water…my husband was an engineer in the auto industry (need I say more) and we can not sell our home for ½ of it’s previous value, as we live in a Detroit suburb.

And now, thanks to you and the other seven republicans who betrayed all of us who have spent years working for the republican party, if this Cap & Trade bill passes the senate the burden on our family will be even greater. I am SO upset I am literally shaking. HOW DARE YOU!? You have a cake job living off of my tax dollars, not worrying whether you are going to survive economically because you have the sweet deal. Try living in middle America right now, where our 401K’s have plummeted, home values are rock bottom and we see foreclosures all around us. And you just SCREWED US AGAIN by voting for this bill that will take money away from my family. Do you even care???

I have spent hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars working on behalf of all republican candidates, I have made phone calls to every state to support republicans, but be forewarned. I will be spending this next election cycle (along with countless other republicans) working to make sure each of you eight traitors to our party lose your congressional seat whatever it takes! If I have to campaign for democrats for the first time in my life, you better believe I will do it. You make me sick to my stomach and I hope when you have a few moments to relax, you think about our family worrying everyday about keeping our home and feeding our family with the added burden of the Cap & Trade costs.

You and others like you are destroying what is left of this country. Nice job.

Ultra RINO Congressman Mark Kirk is one of only eight “Republicans” to vote for cap-and-trade, but the Illinois GOP “leadership” is still begging this guy to run for the U.S. Senate. For the sake of the nation, I will do everything I can do prevent him from winning the GOP primary. Kirk is so awful he makes Ahnuld look good. The IL GOP keeps touting him because he’s “electable”. But what’s the point of electing him? I guess his predecessor Obama isn’t liberal enough for them.

Certainly traitors all. I've worked the phones for hours and two local dim’s I contacted several times actually voted with the minority (at least this time).

And all this time our own kind did us in.

On to the senate, we still need to STOP this. 2010 can not come too soon.

Actually, the only have to answer to their constituents. From what I've seen, they are all from blue districts.

Put the blame where it belongs...on the people that elected both them and the couple of hundred Dems that voted for it.

Dave Reichert...my Congressman.

Reichert represents east and south King County, part of metro Seattle, and his district skews Democratic about 55%-45%.

I don't know what to think or do about this.

Reichert, who led the Green River serial killer investigation, is probably the only Republican in the state who can win here.

But, every year he moves further to the Left.

If he loses reelection, his seat will become permanently Democrat.

If he wins, his seat is permanently Center-Left.

Aren’t most of these in suburban “fiscally conservative/socially liberal” districts where white collar folks think it’s caring and loving to vote for “green” causes and aren’t paying very much attention to the economic costs of this bill (are well-off enough not to care?)? In other words, aren’t these mostly districts that come within a whisker of going Democrat in any given election? I know that’s the case for Kirk. Two decades ago his suburban elitist district was solidly Republican (wasn’t it Phil Crane’s district?) but then the elites went soft on social issues and decided the country was wealthy enough to play Santa Claus to everyone—in short, decided the goose that laid the golden egg was immortal and could never be killed.

So these RINOs represent districts that are RINO? That’s the real problem? Or perhaps the rest of them don’t come from districts like Kirk’s.
