Education will be slashed, resulting in a shortened school year

That cheering sound you hear is coming from millions of the young students of california.

All of these cuts are designed to make people scream to have their taxes raised. Cuts with real meaning like denying illegals emergency room care except for life threatening care and then shipment back home, are poo-pooed by Arnold as unnecessary, eliminating the CA version of the EPA would be another winning money saver and repealing any spending that has been authorized for global warming efforts should be a priority but none of these things will be done until people make it plain they will brook no more tax and spending increases. It is far more important to the politicians to retain power than to take care of the citizens interest

Nailed it.

Another native Californian here (LA) with the exact same memory. My mother had to keep paint thinner around during the summer to get the tar off our feet. We always spent a week at the Miramar in Santa Barbara with its beautiful beach. The hotel used to be really nice, but it has gone to seed. California was heaven when I was growing up, and now it is hell. I doubt I could ever live there again.

“California is headed towards being the next Michigan.”

How things change! I remember Navy boot camp at San Diego and when I said I was from South Carolina I received condescending looks full of pity from those who were so arrogantly proud to say they grew up in California or Michigan, among other paradises of the past. Things are a little different now, a lot of Carolina boys who settled in California after they were discharged have returned to South Carolina in recent years.

The pity is, South Carolina is falling apart now.

I’m a native Californian, moved out 20+ years ago seeing the writing on the wall back then. I spoke to a guy a couple weeks ago. He is an attorney and software developer in California now. He told me he intends to move all of his operations out of the state and into Nevada within the next 5 years. The taxes are driving him out. This guy employs about 200 people between his various activities but the lib’ruls can’t grasp that taxes like elections have consequences...

Gary is a ghost town, even the social do-harmers have given up. I suppose even ACORNstapo thugs have to be bussed in to count the votes.

And yet, California wouldn’t dream of fouling their shores with oil rigs and drilling. Ironic, isn’t it. And typically leftie-like illogical.
