At this point in time , two quandries can describe us: 1. We are where the colonist were before they started shooting the King’s men. The King’s men of then are our politicians today. At one point in time, both the soldiers , officers, and civil authorties were probably liked and respected those whom they protected. And were liked and respected in turn. As time passed, both the King’s soldiers and the civil officials began to look down on the colonists and feel that they, the King’s officers , men,and civil officials, felt that the colonists were inferior to them. As more time passed, these thoughts grew into actions and deeds. By the Lexington and Concord happened, the colonists were held in open scorn, contempt, and ridicule by both the Kingh’s soldiers and civil officials.
Contrast and compare the actions of today’s politicans toward the citizens and the King’s men actions toward the colonists then.
2. The Jews in Germany during the 1920’s and 1930’s. If we just go along with what the government ‘s plans, don’t make waves , don’t cause any trouble, perhaps this will pass and we will be spared. History tells us what happened to that hope.
Yesterday, the House of Representatives, in their infinate wisdom,passed a bill, despite the citizen opposition running about 10,000 to 1 against, that will destroy the United as an industrail Nation in time. This will drastically affect every person except the politicians living in the United States and their families.
The question is, Will we fight or tuck out tail between our legs and cower along with it?

In 2010, just get two friends or acquaintances who normally don't vote. Get them to the polls with one idea in mind:
"Vote for the new guy, not the incumbent."
If we do that, we have replaced the Entire House of Representatives and 1/3 of the Senate -- which means, since they are controlled by Dems, we have regained the House for the GOP and put the fear of God in the Senate.
No muss, no fuss, no revolution.

I will become active when others finally wake up and take action. I am not going to take action on my own for the simple reason that 99.99% of those that are out there will watch to see what happens to me and then “maybe” they might get involved.

It’s all just sunshine and lollypops this weekend.
I'm stuck here in San Diego, but am seriously reconsidering a return to my native Texas.
I think this a great time for Texas to secede. They have their own natural resources, their own ports, their own electric grid, their own international border (which they could defend better than Washington apparently can). They also have a budget surplus. As for water, it seems a desalinization plant could be built somewhere around Freeport or Corpus to produce fresh water from the Gulf that could replenish drought-stricken areas. A free, independent Texas would be a bastion of capitalism as more and more of Washington heads for socialism. We'll attract the best doctors, the best investors, the best entreprenuers because they'll be able to make profits unlike they will be able to in the new socialist America. I'd like to see some polling done to gauge how difficult it would be to win a statewide vote to secede.

Gloomy Sunday indeed. America has been through worse times and survived.
Talk about secession ignores the way the country works. People give the new guy a chance at first. Then they get disillusioned and turn against him.
It's not the 1/3 that's passionately for or the 1/3 who are passionately against that matters. It's the 1/3 in the middle, who aren't "apathetic" but wary and slow to get involved.
But if things don't improve you can bet they'll turn against Obama.
