This is a list of those who stand to profit financially from the bill. The big bucks will be heading their way soon. Any list of those who support it because it is going to “save the planet”?
fyi
TIME to BOYCOTT
Nancy Pelosi and Congress are hanging their hats on these “fine” businesses an organizations that back the cap.
If the HipHop Caucus supports it, how could there be anything wrong with it? /s
“Energy” I understand, but “security”? Security for whom? Security against what?
“Global warming”? So now the House is protecting us against the climate? Ha!
Evil foreign oil dealers? Let me tell you, cap and trade is not the solution. You can’t get rid of our dependence by forcing us not to use what we want—nay, need. That creates a whole new, worse, problem (called poverty). Cure worse than the disease.
Are any of you the same ones who are screaming and yelling about the 8 Republicans who defected?
I know they don’t really exist anymore, but out of historical curiosity, you should add that Enron was all over this.
And cost, it will. Is a little marketing perk ("We're fighting global warming, buy our stuff") worth losing 15% of your customer base when they leave the country?
“Any list of those who support it because it is going to ‘save the planet’?”
According to Al Gore, everyone who likes science in particular and reason in general. You know, all thinking men.
Call me clueless, but I never knew the HipHop Caucus, The Episcopal Church and United States Conf. of Catholic Bishops would have anything in common.
This list of supporters reminds me of a school theater department looking for sponsors for their playbill print costs.
What the *&$! is the HipHop Caucus?
Not so much when the ever-increasing numbers of unemployed people stop buying Starbucks, Nike, etc. etc. etc, not to mention finding alternate methods (wood/pellet stoves) of heating their homes (Avista, et al). By the time this is all said and done, to balance out the higher energy and other costs, people are going to cut back so severely, it's going to backfire on them (and their ill-gotten profits) ultimately. Have already invested in clothesline and clothespins. They may "save the planet" but they're going to destroy companies and jobs in the process unlike anything we've ever seen before.
Are any of you the same ones who are screaming and yelling about the 8 Republicans who defected?
I have the same question as you. There are a few religious organizations on this list. What should be the reaction at the local church? Unions act as One and sweep up many employees that don't believe in the Union stance, but what do you do here?
“What the *&$! is the HipHop Caucus?”
When all of the above have a convention to vote for the head idiot!
Weeellll, regulated utilities make a profit margin on cost. Cost goes up and the margin goes up. Years ago there was a gas plant across the road from a gas plant owned by my employer, a large company.
The plant across the road was painted nicely, had new vehicles parked in front, newly constructed and maintained fence, flowers and lots of other perks. This was in sharp contrast to the plant of my employer.
The difference? The one across the street was owned by a regulated utility, they made money by spending money. We made money by working money.
Good information. Thanks.
Believe me, if one attends a "church" on the National Council of Churches, this incident is the least of their transgressions.
They are on the wrong side of every political issue and besides these "churches" are not churches at all. They have no interest in saving souls. They are only interested in promoting a left wing Democrat agenda.

what do you do? Leave. There is no hope to save them.
I just drank my last cup of Starbucks.
How many laws are there that prevent the leftist aka progressive treehuggers from investing their own money into alternate sources of energy?
Are there any laws that prevent the leftist aka progressive treehuggers from starting a car company to make green cars that they want?
So why force other auto makers to do this? If there is a market for them these companies would be making them.
Guess I’m going to have to drop my membership in the HipHop Caucus. /sarc
Xzins, comment?
sorry x, I forgot to ping you to my last post.
Perfection of a church is far more critical than perfection of a political party.
The breakaway Episcopal (Anglican)churches seem to be immune to this crap and I don’t see the more conservative Missouri Synod of the Lutheran Church on the list.
This “g-d America” (thank you Rev Wright-you’re finally right) atrocity is the Enron business model on a national scale - and we know how that worked out.
Although I have somewhat of a bone to pick with both, at least they are not (yet) openly backing the leftist agenda.
Of course there is. Jesus is the answer. Some are farther gone than others, but to say there is no hope is to ignore Jesus' letters to the churches of Revelation. Incidentally, the church in most danger of the seven was the church of Ephesus. It was in danger of losing its candlestick.
Has anyone bothered to check these organizations out...to make sure they are supporting the bill???
We all know Obama lies as easily as he breathes. My guess...he is lying about most of these organizations AND corporate backers.
It would be wonderful to catch him lying about who is “REALLY” supporting this bill.
Remember folks, the liberal left only makes up 20% percent of America. These corporations and churches cannot survive on 20% of the population supporting their businesses...now can they!
Here in our state when group supports a bill, they register as supporting the bill. This should have had nothing to do with the WH, but who knows.
If the liberal left only makes up 20 per cent of the population, why did Obama get over 50 percent of the vote?
Gullible independents, gullible conservatives and ACORN.
Really, how can they support a bill they know nothing about?
Everyone needs to be careful about what they are signing off on. We need to go directly to the organizations and corporations that he says are supporting the bill and ask them why they would support it.
How are you going to boycott them? Our tax dollars will be heading their way no matter what you or I do.
No way! This message you are reading was produced by a computer powered by Pacific Gas & Electric PG&E, California's biggest utility, geographically.(on the list)
I say, if this passes the Senate and becomes law at the hand of the 0bommunnists, then it's TIME for a full-blown GENERAL STRIKE!!!

I’m already unemployed, so sure, I’m in.
The UMC has been seized by pacfist, anti-American, third wolrd racist, anti-Second Amendment, elements.
As a former member of the UMC I dropped out years ago due to their radical anti-American leadership.
Any groups opposing it?
The above groups are in the congressional record as supporting this bill - hopefully the Republican party [non-Rino]will compile a list of those corporations opposed.

This was my church growing up (at least, my church was part of the Disciples of Christ). Can't say much, except that they were very conservative way back then. Now, the current pastor is what I would call very much into the green agenda. I don't go anymore, as I'm nowhere near the church, but my mother does.
She is very conservative, but I've given up trying to convince her the organization has changed.
My husband and I left the ELCA in 1992 for the far more conservative Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. We've never been sorry for one moment.
God bless.
