Hopefully they live on a fenced in and patrolled (armed) piece of property - Liberals up there can be dangerous.

When we owned it, it was accross from the Post Office on H. The people we sold it to, moved it to a larger space on Broadway.

I left in 91 so if it's moved again, no I haven't seen it.

When it was ours, it was a really small store...it's cool to think it's still in business.

So, the goal of this teaparty was to send a message to the R’s who voted for this monstrosity? Are they listening? Did they hear you? Do they regret their votes? Are they apologizing for screwing up?

My wife and her mother shopped at your store across from the Post Office, then the Littlefield's moved to 4th at D for a number of years, then to a new store at Broadway at 15th and then they built the BIG store across 15th where it looks like a Whole Foods clone...

Sure, although every congress person should have known better than to cast a vote for something they didn’t even read. How many tea parties will we have? Will we still be having them after we have the single-payer healthcare plan they’re going to pass? After the secret union ballot is eliminate? Or maybe after wholesale immigration “reform?” Will we just continue making calls, sending e-mails, and having tea parties - as they continue to roll us?

That's nice....hope he "got the message."

I've listed ideas here on FR before, but there's no readiness for them at this time. People are content to keep calling, emailing, and getting together for teaparties. I don't think we'll be ever be ready - not even after we have our universal healthcare, ENDA, FOCA, EFCA, hate crimes, immigration.....

Here is todays Announcement regarding the rally...

Until you're ready for "civil disobedience" and spend a night in jail for a misdameanor, your Tea Parties are just feel good stuff.

I was on the streets way before most of you now talking all this shit on FR even knew what a bullhorn was.

Make a REAL stand, or don't bother. The time for we-are-good-low-keyed-conservatives is over. TAKE A STAND. Until you do, I will watch the House pass obscene legislation like Cap&Tax as it did yesterday. And you will have your feel-good demonstrations that amount to squat. Next time, chain yourselves to the Capitol steps and make a real point!!!

Remember, a very small group of men back in the 1700's risked their lives (families included); their fortunes; and their sacred Honor to fight against Kind George's tyranny.

How close is this nation becoming to that extreme?

Do we simply need 4 more conservatives in 2011? No, we need a majority in the House and Senate +8/4 on each side, in order to secure our outcomes. Even with that (which is an impossibility), it may be too late for this nation by then.

What will we do when we have single-payer healthcare, immigration "reform," EFCA, ENDA, hate crimes, elimination of "don't ask-don't tell, and FOCA? And, all of those are likely before we see the swearing in of the 112th Congress.

Never heard that.

Tea Party Protestors are all for accountability and exposure of the truth. It is about time that the average American got their head out of the sand and held their reps. responsible for every vote that was not cast on behalf of the people the rep. represents. The Tea Parties emphasize the above.

...and remember the three, that didn’t vote, and the Speaker normally doesn’t, but in this case made an exception. That’s four, so only a couple of Rino’s or a couple of dems could have made the difference. It just astounds me for the second time in a month, we have an entire HoR (house of representatives) voting on nothing, zip, zero, nada, thin air, no bill, and above all not read other than what John B. read from the add on part delivered at three in the morning.

In my mind, to pass unread, legislation is worthy of the most severe punishment available. Two hundred and nineteen plus the three who did not vote should be run out of the House on a rail. No trial, the evidence is in. Every vote counts and in this case there is a name attached to each vote.

Worst of all they chose willingly to pass this unread nonstrocity, (sp on porpoise) right in plain view, to hell with the American people, and to Hell with the Constitution of the United States of America. The house challenges the American people to a government duel, for control of the country, and they win without a shot fired.

Estimates on how the calls from constituents were running, was ten to one against. If this figure is close, the mythical bill should have been a non starter. The fact their was no bill should have made it a non starter, the fact that in these financial times, we are going to raise taxes on energy, should have made it a non starter, the slap in the face to the largest and cheapest energy source on the planet and the 5 or 6 states that produce it, should have made it a non starter, the lack of logic, reason, and intelligence evidenced in the original premise, should have made it a not starter, the onerous nature of attempting to tax what is NOT a pollutant, should have made it a non starter, the anger and clamor of the American people should have made it a non starter, the humility honor and general statesmanship of our elected representatives should have made it a not starter. Oh, I think I may have just hit on something.
