A news report had Billy Mays on a US Air flight to Tampa yesterday that had some trouble landing but otherwise no big deal.

I almost can’t believe it.
My wife and I watched one of his commercials last night where he, his wife and kids were all on and all spoke in that loud penetrating voice.
You will be remembered, Billy.

I think FOX is getting hoaxed. This story is about a month old. We’ll see. They have very sketchy details on their site right now.

Seems like too many deaths of public people. Perhaps we’re such a wealthy society 9with 24/7 news coverage), that more and more people get their 15+ minutes of fame. Would Billy Mays have ever been such a public face a generation ago? Wait another 20 to 30 years and it will seem like two or more ‘celebrities’ will be dying every single day.

As annoying as his commercials were, Billy seemed like a pretty good guy. Saw him and that other pitchman (Tony something) on Cavuto's show a few months back, and they both sounded like good conservatives.

I wonder if they'll dig his grave with the "Awesome Auger"?
I actually feel worse for his family than I feel for the Jackson family. I'm sure that Billy didn't travel around with a 6ft statue of the Jolly Green Giant and probably had no hand in the abusing of chimps.
He seemed like a good person from the Fox News shows I've seen him appear on. He knew how to poke fun at himself.

A shame. His Discovery Channel show Pitchmen is a little too heavily scripted, but he seemed like a decent guy in spite of that loud persona.

This news is way more shocking than the death of the King of Pop. Billy could be annoying, but some of his products really do work well, including Oxy Clean and Kaboom. The epoxy putty appeared to be the same as any epoxy putty which has been around for years.
The Discovery Channel show "Pitchmen" gave me a new-found respect for Billy, as it showed how he and fellow pitchman Anthony Sullivan developed the ads fro products, many of which are from ordinary people with ideas and inventions. R.I.P. BILLY!!!!!
To: AAABEST
Wasn’t he personally a fairly conservative guy? I have a vague recollection of his being on with Glenn Beck?

I always toyed with the idea of presenting him with the idea of "The Billy Mays Talking Alarm Clock".....given that voice, it would have been guaranteed to not need a snooze button....

I guess we;ll see more of Vince Shlomi now"On February 7, 2009, Offer "Vince" Shlomi was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida on a charge of felony battery after an altercation with a 26-year-old prostitute. Offer, who appears in police reports under his real name Vince Shlomi, contended that he struck the prostitute when she "bit his tongue and would not let go." Prosecutors later declined to file formal charges against either individual."
I doubt it.
