I did this on another thread when someone posted this “history is against her” nonstarter. So since someone has decided to post it again, my rebuttal also bears repeating.
No woman had ever been Governor of Alaska. Until Palin.
No one as young as 42 had been Governor of Alaska. Until Palin.
No woman had ever been the Vice Presidential candidate for the Republican party. Until Palin.
So I’d say she doesn’t let “history” stop her if she feels called to do something. And so far, it hasn’t.
What I firmly believe that the Kansas straw poll shows that what was present in 1962 in professional golf when Palmer, Nicklaus and Player won all the majors is now present in the lead up to the start of the GOP primaries in 2011, a Big Three of Palin, Romney and Huckabee and none of them can be counted out or be considered a cinch to win the nomination.
