Franken Declared Winner of Minnesota Senate Election, Giving Dems Filibuster-Proof Majority

After the Minnesota high court rejects a legal challenge from Norm Coleman, the Republican concedes to Democrat Al Franken in the state's Senate race.

Democrat Al Franken, right, with his wife Frannie Franken smile as they meet the media at their house in MInneapolis Tuesday June 30, 2009 after the Minnesota Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Democrat in the Senate race against Republican Norm Coleman. (AP)

Democrat Al Franken as the winner of the state's vacant Senate seat after the state's high court ruled that Republican challenger Norm Coleman had exhausted his options for appealing the result.

Coleman responded to the court ruling by conceding the election and wishing Franken well, ending an eight-month legal battle that directly affects the balance of power in the Senate.

Has an election for the US Senate ever been so obviously stolen in front of everyone?

Coleman is so classy, I would have taken it to the US Supreme court.

It’s very blatant and depressing.....and I don’t even live in Minnesota!

I guess we can just hope that some of the “blue-dog” dems or
Lieberman will frustrate them occasionally.

all I can say is..

A Tourist walked into a Chinese curio shop in San Francisco. While looking around at the exotic merchandise, he noticed a very lifelike, life-sized, bronze statue of a rat. It had no price tag, but was so incredibly striking the tourist decided he must have it. He took it to the old shop owner and asked, “How much for the bronze rat?”

“Ahhh, you have chosen wisely! It is $12 for the rat, $100 for the story,” said the wise old proprietor. The tourist quickly pulled out twelve dollars. “I'll just take the rat, you can keep the story.”

As he walked down the street carrying his bronze rat, the tourist noticed that a few real rats had crawled out of the alleys and sewers and had begun following him down the street. This was a bit disconcerting so he began walking faster.

A couple blocks later he looked behind him and saw to his horror the herd of rats behind him had grown to hundreds, and they began squealing.

Sweating now, the tourist began to trot toward the Bay. Again, after a couple blocks, he looked around only to discover that the rats now numbered in the MILLIONS, and were squealing and coming toward him faster and faster.

Terrified, he ran to the edge of the Bay and threw the bronze rat as far as he could into the Bay.

Amazingly, the millions of rats all jumped into the Bay after the bronze rat, and were all drowned.

The man walked back to the curio shop in Chinatown.

“Ahhh,” said the owner, “You have come back for story?”

“No sir,” said the man, “I came back to see if you have a bronze Liberal.”

Screw Minnesota but God help America! It seems that that state has a death wish for the greatest nation on Earth judging by their recent election results. That Jesse would be elected Gov and that this asshat Franken gets close enough to steal a US Senatorial election says a lot about the water that they drink in Minnesota........

People in MN have had total faith in socialism for so long that this means little. As John Adams said, the Revolution began in the “hearts and minds” of the colonists even before Lexington and Concord. People in MN and their sister states would gladly surrender freedom for a few government checks here and there.

But now with some power, maybe old Al will grow up. Women will start cozying up to him (because he is a senator). He’ll fall in love. He’ll start having sex. He’ll lose some of his anger and angst and rage. He’ll reproduce. His little 16 year old brain will start to mature. He’ll get caught up in pork. He’ll become one of the guys. Somebody will take him hunting and fishing. Teach him about beer and jack Daniels.

I totally agree. Why the hell didn't he take this to the supreme court when this was the last step?

I'm very discouraged because there doesn't seem to be anyone capable of stopping the voter fraud and that's the only thing that ever kept us free. Our politicians, Republicans included, keep playing their stupid little games, worrying about polls and such, while Democracy is being stolen right in front of them.

So far, I've seen ACORN get BILLIONS of dollars to fund their criminal organization and a congress that refuses to even investigate them. MN was proven to have hundreds of votes by corpses and that was ignored. Where is there any hope?

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing

If "Name It-Claim It" theology has any validity, Iran's "Death to America" chants have been given the stage of reality in the stolen election of Hussein, and the stolen election of this piece of crap ex-comedian.

The problem is, it is Satan who is answering these prayers.
