Franken Declared Winner of Minnesota Senate Election, Giving Dems Filibuster-Proof Majority
After the Minnesota high court rejects a legal challenge from Norm Coleman, the Republican concedes to Democrat Al Franken in the state's Senate race.

Democrat Al Franken as the winner of the state's vacant Senate seat after the state's high court ruled that Republican challenger Norm Coleman had exhausted his options for appealing the result.
Coleman responded to the court ruling by conceding the election and wishing Franken well, ending an eight-month legal battle that directly affects the balance of power in the Senate.

They already had 60...
Has an election for the US Senate ever been so obviously stolen in front of everyone?
Coleman is so classy, I would have taken it to the US Supreme court.
And a clown shall lead them. ;-)
Coleman should have fought this. This just encourages criminal behavior by the dems.
Make its official that the Senate is a place for comedians.
With all the RINOs they have had more than 60 for a long time.
It’s very blatant and depressing.....and I don’t even live in Minnesota!
I guess we can just hope that some of the “blue-dog” dems or
Lieberman will frustrate them occasionally.
A Tourist walked into a Chinese curio shop in San Francisco. While looking around at the exotic merchandise, he noticed a very lifelike, life-sized, bronze statue of a rat. It had no price tag, but was so incredibly striking the tourist decided he must have it. He took it to the old shop owner and asked, “How much for the bronze rat?”
“Ahhh, you have chosen wisely! It is $12 for the rat, $100 for the story,” said the wise old proprietor. The tourist quickly pulled out twelve dollars. “I'll just take the rat, you can keep the story.”
As he walked down the street carrying his bronze rat, the tourist noticed that a few real rats had crawled out of the alleys and sewers and had begun following him down the street. This was a bit disconcerting so he began walking faster.
A couple blocks later he looked behind him and saw to his horror the herd of rats behind him had grown to hundreds, and they began squealing.
Sweating now, the tourist began to trot toward the Bay. Again, after a couple blocks, he looked around only to discover that the rats now numbered in the MILLIONS, and were squealing and coming toward him faster and faster.
Terrified, he ran to the edge of the Bay and threw the bronze rat as far as he could into the Bay.
Amazingly, the millions of rats all jumped into the Bay after the bronze rat, and were all drowned.
The man walked back to the curio shop in Chinatown.
“Ahhh,” said the owner, “You have come back for story?”
“No sir,” said the man, “I came back to see if you have a bronze Liberal.”
At least now Nutjob Nancy has someone she can “relate with.”
Screw Minnesota but God help America! It seems that that state has a death wish for the greatest nation on Earth judging by their recent election results. That Jesse would be elected Gov and that this asshat Franken gets close enough to steal a US Senatorial election says a lot about the water that they drink in Minnesota........
That picture should be on a billboard in every town in MN, just to show these people what they've inflicted on the country.
Heaven help us all.
Anyone with a DUmocrat in the senate and a Republican Governor needs to do some major digging to get the JACKASSES relegated back to a minority where they would be without tyrants in black fraudulently seating them.
this just tells me how bad Democrats suck....if they are stupid enough to send such a jerk to dc.
Will be easy, regardless of Stewart Smalley, to pass the Amnesty Bill, Cap/Trade and Health Care bill.
We are screwed and Smalley stole the election in Mn.
People in MN have had total faith in socialism for so long that this means little. As John Adams said, the Revolution began in the “hearts and minds” of the colonists even before Lexington and Concord. People in MN and their sister states would gladly surrender freedom for a few government checks here and there.
Will he be the next to ask to be called Senator? He’s worked so hard for it. Thank you.
I think GWB helped bring this about because MN people turned against him in a big way for not “leading”.
and I have a feeling that franklin will implode on his on own stupidity, just give him time
But now with some power, maybe old Al will grow up. Women will start cozying up to him (because he is a senator). He’ll fall in love. He’ll start having sex. He’ll lose some of his anger and angst and rage. He’ll reproduce. His little 16 year old brain will start to mature. He’ll get caught up in pork. He’ll become one of the guys. Somebody will take him hunting and fishing. Teach him about beer and jack Daniels.
parsy, who is praying for this scenaro
I totally agree. Why the hell didn't he take this to the supreme court when this was the last step?
I'm very discouraged because there doesn't seem to be anyone capable of stopping the voter fraud and that's the only thing that ever kept us free. Our politicians, Republicans included, keep playing their stupid little games, worrying about polls and such, while Democracy is being stolen right in front of them.
So far, I've seen ACORN get BILLIONS of dollars to fund their criminal organization and a congress that refuses to even investigate them. MN was proven to have hundreds of votes by corpses and that was ignored. Where is there any hope?
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing
Who knows?
And darn it, he deserves it.
One more counting of the votes and Franken could have gathered 110% of the votes.. Something stinks in Minnosota..
VERY good to see YOU...and yes, he should have fought harder than he did.
I just hope this idiot causes a backlash in 2010 that issues in a new wave of Republicans who ACT like Republicans! The panty-waists that we have now haven’t even raised their voices to protest all the stealing of America that is going on right under their noses!
I am damned angry!
The problem is, it is Satan who is answering these prayers.

*grin*
Just wish.......
“He’ll fit right in with this august body.”
No kidding...collectively, our US Senate makes Michael Jackson look “normal.”
...and it's not just the lutkefisk! :D
Satan does seem to be in charge of Washington, DC right now.
The Republicans basically rolled over, played dead and gave it all over to him and his minions!
There's no "maybe" about it.

Well said, Kenny!
a speeding bus
If the Republicans had any brains or ba!!s they would rent a billboard in DC with a picture of Franken in his diaper and a list of his tax evasion incidents as a greeting.
That is a very scary and nausiating scenario! LOL!
~~shudder~~
Just can’t see Stuart Smalley becomeing “one of the guys”!
Hard not to be angry when you have a left wing dictator for a POTUS !!
Yep!
Angry and scared for our country. =\
Minnesota gave us the first muzzie congressman too.
A muzzie and a clown. What a combo!
I don’t know how Minnesoooooootans live with themselves!
Here is what this means. Minnesota still has only one senator. California has 3 senators. Franken is not senator from MN he is senator from Hollywood.
I don’t even know if Al is married or even straight. If he’s single, a hell-raising southern girl could change his life for him. About 2 seconds after the “i do’s” she’d be setting him straight.
parsy, who has seen the 2 second change a couple of times.
A state full of idiots is represented by a idiot.
Good point. Will no doubt behave like he’s still IN Hollywood, too!
This will be interesting to watch if nothing else...since
that’s all we can do now.......
So many clowns, what will happen?
The Republicans must force Ted Kennedy and Robert Byrd to come to the floor to cast their cast votes. And Tim Johnson, as well. By the way, can he talk yet?
I would donate to see that this WAS put on a billboard in MN and on the Beltway in DC!
