But think about this. The cowards most certainly did this when they saw him drive away. Candyasses like this would NEVER do such a thing if they thought they would be confronted by someone who makes a habit of standing up for something greater than he is.
My guess is 5 neighborhood puke kids would shake in their boots if they did this and were confronted by one determined leatherneck.

The crime is arson, a felony, and it poses a clear and present danger to the house and those in it. You can shoot in those circumstances. I would.

I was thinking maybe some kids shooting bottle rockets could have accidentally set them on fire, but since the same thing happened to someone else, that’s probably not the case.

If deliberate, I’m sure this could be prosecuted as arson, and not just vandalism. Maybe even a hate crime?
