As the Iranian authorities warned the opposition on Tuesday that they would tolerate no further protests over the disputed June 12 presidential elections, a report emerged of the hangings of six supporters of defeated candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi.
Speaking after Iran's top legislative body upheld the election victory of incumbent Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, sources in Iran told this reporter in a telephone interview that the hangings took place in the holy city of Mashhad on Monday. There was no independent confirmation of the report.

Yes We Can
Yes We Did.
> A populace unarmed is a populace at the mercy of the Government.
Well, in this day and age, the only difference is that armed resistance to tyranny can at least die fighting, rather than dying with their hands tied behind their backs.
The question is that, after brutal suppression is done, he could be emboldened enough to do something really dangerous.
What have you to say for yourself now Mr. President?
it’s the mullahs that need to be hanging
there’s got to be a way , around the ‘impasses’
"Coming to your neighborhood soon through the courtesy of ACORN"........that is what he is saying.
I was sure this was going to happen. People were saying he’d call out the tanks, but there was really no need for him to do so. Once Bambi made it clear that the US and hence the world press and institutions didn’t care, all Ahmadinejad had to do was let things die down (which was inevitable, since the people were unarmed and had no support) and then pick them up at his leisure.
I read that some had been arrested in the hospital days ago, and many others were being tracked through the Western made technology that he used to block and monitor their phone calls and Internet use.
"Death to any country and person that champions freedom
... and to all democracies and Constitutions"
It’s what many of us feared. We were not naive to think the mullahs would not sink to this level.
Their barbarism is what keeps them in power.
Many people would not go to the hospital. The reports I was able to read said that the hospital was nothing but a place of tears.
All the staff, the doctors and nurses would have to sit by and watch injured people being taken away and beaten.
And they could do nothing.
“What have you to say for yourself now Mr. President?”
I am sure he would just quote the article: “There was no independent confirmation of the report.”
He would completely ignore the fact that there can be no independent confirmation if all of the witnesses are killed. But I’m sure he would say something like “uh if... uh, there are uh people, uh being hanged in the streets, uh, uh... that uh, is uh, a problem.” Evil eye to reporter who asked the question.
Sad, but this was going to happen no matter what Obama and/or the UN would or could have said or done.
A glimpse into our future, perhaps?

Unless you're Iran, in which case you get a pass. Iran can kill our boys by financing (providing newly improved, shaped charge IEDs,) training and supporting guerilla operations agains our boys in Iraq and develop nuclear weapons. But nobody else better try this. They'd sure be sorry...
Ain’t that the truth. Of course we knew what was going to happen...
I wish you people would get your priorities straight. Don’t you know that Micheal Jackson died? /S...I think.
UPDATE: Politicians who make war against the people of the United States have chosen their own destruction.
A glimpse into our future, perhaps?
