Just wondering if he'll be “mirandized.” I'm of the opinion that this administration has lost its collective mind.

I'm sure that with the One in charge he will be treated according to all the rules of civilized warfare since we know that by bending over backwards in treatment of the enemy combatants it will be reciprocated.
I seriously hope they can rescue him quickly knowing the history of those animals!

Many prayers for our Soldier and his family.
I am horrified that our media has seen fit to gloss over this with a mere sentence in a long article. Had this been Iraq with Bush in charge, the headlines couldn’t have been big enough!

I think I would have to make them kill me in a fire fight before I would let these pukes take me. Unless I were just too badly wounded to fight back and did not really know they had me. They are going to murder you for propaganda purposes anyway with the head cutting off thing, so I’d go down shooting, not putting up my hands and thinking they would fairly treat me according to the GC.

Not to worry. They will treat him fine because the prisoners at Gitmo were treated like royalty.
They may just ask for big bucks, in which case 0 would be only too happy to oblige, I’m sure.
However, prayers up.

Title is misleading and not the complete title of the story to which you link.
Reading the story, I noted the information in the story is not confirmed. Key word left out of title on this thread is “Believed”. So far, all that seems to be known is a soldier is missing, and there is much speculation.
One alleged militant-insurgent-alqaeda-taliban-tribesman- fighters-whoever the hell we are fighting over there, claims the soldier was captured while leaving the base to go on patrol.
Now, I don’t believe we send soldiers out on patrol alone. So if the soldier was captured as this (whatever umphteenth group he claims to represent) fellow says, then his fellow soldiers would know he was captured. Would they not?
I think we need more info before jumping to conclusions on this one. Since we all know how these animals treat our soldiers. So let’s don’t go there just yet. Prayers up!

A radio news update on this story a few minutes ago mentioned that the soldier had “walked away from the base” and hadn’t been seen since. Anybody got an idea what this means? It almost sounded like they were saying that he’d deserted or something... but then again could have meant just about anything. Anybody else heard anything like that?
