Free speech got a loud boost from Hollywood on Wednesday. Jon Voight has responded to accusations from a critic sympathetic to the American Communist Party, who said the actor had used hate speech and threatened the well-being of President Obama during a recent appearance before Republicans in Washington.

Mr. Voight denied both charges, saying that those who speak out against the Obama administration are "demonized" and "attacked," often with hate speech.

So what’s new? In the context of the speech, Voight is not calling for personal harm to Obama. Yet the usual Obama butt kissers swoon and faint and put on the usual histrionics.

Before I am pounced on, I am sure that Voight has been standing tall for a time, but, his profile is just recently enlarging and he seems to have a pair.

What is it called when the act of disagreeing with the ideas and policies of a man who happens to be black is labeled as “racism”?

We’re looking at it, and the word is being used as a bludgeon to stifle many sincere but fearful people. We’re going to be called a lot worse before this is over, so we’d better get used to it. I’d rather be falsely labeled a racist than spend my life submitting to The Obama.

It is about time that someone defines and exposes an element of the Left for who they are. Voight correctly states that dissent is not hate speech and instead of just defending himself against false charges, exposes who or what leveled those false charges....The Peoples Weekly World, formerly The Daily Worker, is a Communist publication. For those who have read Witness by Whittaker Chambers, I'm sure you know this.

That a Hollywood actor instead of a politician or a religious leader to call a red a red and show that those sympathetic to communism agree with Obama, gives me cause to worry for the future of our great Republic. Do we the people have the will to stand up to tyranny and the erosion of our freedoms or are we mindless sheep, more concerned with being civil towards our opponents then in directly challenging and exposing them for the communists they are?

You gotta love Jon Voight. The man will not be intimidated and is unfazed by their lies and demonizations and hits them hard with their own reflection. Voight has put perfectly into words just what 0bama and his supporters are.
