This seems to have replaced the Nigerian "I gotta find someone to claim this fortune..." scam!

I just don't see him getting any money unless he can prove to any buyer that what he has is authentic.

Only if you were born on a US military base or embassy.

Other wise you are not a natural born citizen.

Please cite the law that states that one who in born overseas to American parents in not a natural born citizen.

President Theodore Roosevelt was a Republican. Perhaps he’s confusing him with his cousin Franklin.

This whole story is beginning to look more and more like APIII.

Would really like to believe something will become of this but the more prolonged it gets, the more the skepticism grows.

I see that. Curiouser and weirder ... the writing style in the auction still seems different to me than one would expect from the lifestyle, images, etc. posted of him.

None of the Hawaiian hospitals acknowledge having been the place where he was born, so he was either born at home (or somewhere else on the Island) or somewhere else entirely.

“I read one of his defenders, on another site writing that Hawaii doesn’t offer duplicate official birth certificates anymore.”

That is the excuse that the Obots hold onto, but
as a fellow freeper posted a few days ago, the original records can not be destroyed and would be on microfilm.

This is thanks to FReeper, TheCipher:

” They couldn’t and they didn’t. From The Hawaii Revised Statutes:

92-31 Disposition of original record. A photograph, microphotograph, reproduction on film, or electronic form of a government record shall be placed in conveniently accessible files and provisions made for preserving, examining, and using the same. Thereafter, a public officer, after having first received the written approval of the comptroller as provided in section 94-3, may cause such record, paper, or document to be destroyed. The comptroller may require, as a prerequisite to the granting of such approval, that a reproduction or print of such photograph, microphotograph, or reproduction on film, or electronic form of the record be delivered into the custody of the public archives for safekeeping. The comptroller may also require the delivery into the custody of another governmental department or agency or a research library of any such record, paper, or document proposed to be destroyed under the provisions of this section.

So, either the original microfiche copy is still available or a complete reproduction of it in electronic form is available. To put something in electronic form and not copy all the data on the original document would be against the law. Where these files have to be accessible and provisions have to be made for examining them, it would be misleading for the Department of Health to say that the information on the original Certificate of Live Birth is no longer available. “

I have also posted a link to what a REAL Hawaiian BC from the 60s looks like:

I will remain one of the “birthers” until I see one
like this.

If you were born overseas, then you have US Citizenship by operation of statute.

I know, as my eldest son falls into exactly this category. While this is a form of US Citizenship by birth, it is not “natural born” citizenship. Any form of citizenship which relies upon the operation of statute law is not “natural born” citizenship, and while this form of citizenship is honorable and quite legitimate, it disqualifies you for the Presidency.

This issue is the subject of enormous confusion and misinformation, but history of the term, its usage and its specific meaning in the Constitution has been researched to death, and frankly, it’s beyond dispute.

Despite the fact that many folks don’t like it, and feel that it is unfair, even to the point of passing resolutions claiming that John McCain is a “natural born” citizen, such resolutions cannot amend the Constitution. Truth be told, in the last presidential election, BOTH major parties ran candidates who were not Constitutionally qualified to the office.

The Constitution in this century has become nothing more than an iconic document of symbolic value only. The powers that be don’t give a rat’s tookus what it actually says.

Please cite the law that states that one who in born overseas to American parents in not a natural born citizen.

There is no need for such a law, since except for the operation of statute, such a person would not be a citizen at all. That statute, Section 309 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, a statute providing for citizenship to accrue to children of American parents abroad, by its very nature cannot provide for natural born citizenship, since any form of citizenship relying upon the operation of statute law is a form of naturalized citizenship, not natural born citizenship.

While honorable and perfectly legal, such citizenship cannot serve to qualify a holder for the Presidency.

Was your father an American citizen at the time of your birth? And were you born in the U.S.A.?

If not, you are not a natural-born citizen; and your need to rationalize away your own self-perceived inadequacies are helping to destroy this country.

Yes, but even more important is his own history of pulling scams. Especially the kidney donor scam. Stealing money is bad enough, but to play games with a man’s life like that is unforgivable.

Those with allegiances to other nations generally don’t understand why Americans want an American president.
