HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!: Wk 180 & 181, Olney, MD 06-20/06-27--09 - Op Infinite FReep
July 03,2009

Posted on 07/03/2009 9:11:47 AM PDT by trooprally

INDEPENDENCE DAY should be the proper name for this most wonderful holiday. The name 4th of July is just another 3 day weekend for sales.

This AAR covers two weeks as you can see. Better Late than never. Plus one on my few projects has a deadline that keep me busy the last two weeks. It is under control so I have some time to write the AAR.

Week 180 roll call of our 9 Patriots included Sophia, Legionnaires Dave (Army WWII) and friend Janet, and Halsey, (USMC - Korea), Lurker Bill, and FReepers Cindy_True_Supporter, Eager, Fraxinus, NewEnglandPatriot, [Mrs] Trooprally, aka [Mrs] T, and myself, [Mr] T.

MOONBATs: 5ive, and they ran as the rain started to pour down around 11:00..

WEEK 181 roll call of our 4 Patriots (the original “Fantastic Four”) were Lurker Bill and FReepers Cindy_True_Supporter, [Mrs] Trooprally, aka [Mrs] T, and myself, [Mr] T.

MOONBATs: 6ix looking like they wanted to be somewhere else.

ALL pics for the two weeks are by [Mrs] T.

Before I forget, one of our own, OurManInWashington, is a play writer. Check out his pdf announcement BELOW. If you are in the DC area in mid-July, stop on by and see the his play. We conservatives need to stick together. Contact OurManInWashington and let him know you are going. He has also graciously promised to donate a some $$$ to the DC Chapter depending one how many FReepers come to see the play but he needs to know if you will be there.

”GS-14" Play

AND if you missed Karliner’s funny post in the last Olney AAR, Click HERE to read it. It is worth the read which is why I’m linking to it.

WEEK 180 PICS and NARRATIVE

As mentioned in the roll call for Week 180, it started to pour down rain, and hard. Even if the moonbats stayed longer than the first rain drops, we would not have been able to see them across the street. But we stayed through it, getting a lot of honks. Inside the car waves were hard to see and no one dared to open their windows to wave out them. Everything got wet, no soaked. Sunday and Monday were spent drying out all the banners, flags and [Mrs] T’s car, where we just threw everything into.

BELOW LEFT: We have new summer plantings. Since we have to jump up on the planter to secure both the flag and the banner, ‘careful’ is now the watch word. BELOW RIGHT: And it was raining right before we got to Olney, with just a sprinkle as we set up. Half hour later I definitely had to use the raincoat hanging close at hand.

BELOW LEFT: NewEnglandPatriot and Fraxinus in the back ground. BELOW RIGHT: Halsey, Janet and Dave, Legionnaires holding down our left flank.

BELOW LEFT: And here’s Fraxinus! BELOW RIGHT: And Eager with Cindy_True_Supporter!!

BELOW: And Lurker Bill!!! Since he is last, he gets a centered and larger picture.

BELOW: Mopey Moonbats.

WEEK 181 PICS and NARRATIVE

This week was a lot better than last week. Even with just the “Fantastic Four”, we got a lot of support.

BELOW LEFT: Cindy_True_Supporter. Even with the cap on the sun was bright. But the sun gave us a chance to dry out things that got drenched fro Walter Reed the night before - note bag on walk drying out. BELOW RIGHT: Our own Lurker Bill holding down our close-in left flank. When the Legionnaires are out, they expand our left flank about 50 more feet (that’s 16.666.......... yards to you military types, but close enough for any 105 round).

BELOW LEFT: Me holding down the right flank – watching our two joggers to be sure they safely cross the street. ;-))BELOW RIGHT: Hope [Mrs] T isn’t reading this too closely

BELOW: And again, the Mopey Moonbats.

And pictures of passing supporters from both Saturdays. You can see which is which by the clouds vs sun, the closed windows vs the convertible tops down, and the cycles.

WARNING TO FREEPERS ATTENDING OLNEY

Some new money making SPEED CAMERAS have been installed on north bound Georgia Avenue right before you enter the main business district. Slow your speed after the light at King William Drive.

And a new one has been placed just south of Brookeville, between Brookeville and the Longwood Community Center.

REMEMBER
Next Saturday, same place, Georgia Avenue, MD Rte. 97 and MD Rte. 108 in Olney
NEW TIME - 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

But a lot of verbal engagement in Olney is always welcome.

WhooHoo! Happy Independence Day my FRiends who are faithful.

Thought you may enjoy this quote from John Adams about our Independence Day:

“I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.

You will think me transported with Enthusiasm but I am not. — I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure, that it will cost Us to maintain this Declaration, and support and defend these States. — Yet through all the Gloom I can see the Rays of ravishing Light and Glory. I can see that the End is more than worth all the Means. And that Posterity will tryumph in that Days Transaction, even altho We should rue it, which I trust in God We shall not.”

So, have a great day everyone!

Adams forgot one more way to commemorate our Independence Day, by Supporting our Troops.

Thanks and Happy Independence Day to you and the family.
