Palin to RESIGN as Alaska Governor
Real Clear Politics ^ | July 3, 2009

UPDATE: Palin To Resign As Alaska Governor UPDATE: KTUU-TV in Anchorage reports that Palin not only won't seek re-election, but will resign later this month.

ORIGINAL POST: Gov. Sarah Palin (R) has announced she will not run for re-election in 2010, CNN reports. She's scheduled to make an announcement shortly.

The decision frees Palin to travel in the Lower 48 as she considers a potential run for president in 2012. A re-election campaign could also have been tough on the former vice presidential nominee; her approval rating has dropped from stratospheric highs, and a number of candidates in both parties are said to be considering runs.

Even if she won, the race would have been dominated by the specter of a presidential bid, giving her adversaries an opportunity to wound her politically. She's still fending off ethics complaints, many spurred by the "Troopergate" scandal.

“That newspaper hates Palin with a passion.”

It showed. I didn’t get to hear her entire speech yet but heard a bit of it on the radio just now being replayed on Hannity’s show. I take her at her word that she doesn’t want to waste Alaska’s money and resources with all of the libtard ankle biting. I respect it.

Can you say “all in”? This is a “faith” move, if I ever saw one. She has been Called.

That's what I've been thinking. Now she won't be shackled to a lame duck session where she's the subject of endless frivolous ethics complaints. She'll be free to hit the lower 48 and raise money for good candidates. And Lord knows, the GOP needs that.

I'm betting her phone is ringing off the hook right now.

With what Obama is doing to our country, there may not be a 2012 let alone 2016
Get real

If these newsy hypocrites gave 1/100th the criticism they give Palin to Obama they’d sink him.

"It's a good thing George Washington never quit being a tobacco farmer, or there could have been a revolution some 233 years ago."

In point of fact, Washington never quit growing tobacco, or quit distilling whiskey or several other entrepreneurial enterprises he was involved in. All throughout his Presidency, he continued owning his farming and distilling business.

Three days on politics is a lifetime. For whatever reason she made this decision (and we don’t know yet), by 2010-11, it will be long forgotten.

I agree with you. Sarah puts the best interest of the state ahead her own. Doesn’t hurt that the left was bankrupting her with ethics complaints.

I have things to do, but, I’ll be darn if I leave before seeing another reassuring Twitter from Sarah.

“UPDATE: On FOX News Her brother just said that she was spending 80% of her time defending herself from the state-run press and bogus ethics complaints. She had been doing this for months and wanted to spend more time helping her state but there was no way she could effectively govern when she had to constantly defend herself.”

The onslaught against her by the Left just backfired on them - big time!

Reminds me of that line from Xena: Warrior Princess, the one that talked about a mighty princess, forged in the heat of battle...

Best part: The 'Rats'll've done it to themselves.

Fox was just commenting how everytime she left the state, she would be hit with an ethics complaint. What other governor (besides the one in “love”) is facing that? Petty people in this world.

Getting embarrassing? Shows that those that are so easily embarrassed by those that do not put utter value in impressions, style, speech, on and on, have no real values in their lives.

Most people in the “not eastern” parts of the U.S. see life more and more clear and see what is really of value. And, I can guarantee those things of real value do not include being concerned about barnyard animals, being concerned about diction, style, impression.

We are impressed by the quality of the person, the soul, the mind and look past those frivalous items the “east” so values. Long ago, those things lost interest for me.

So, they got the “style” they wanted in Obama. And what do they have - a Marxist, socialist, future dictator without any qualms about tearing down our economy, our country, our value system, our medical services and the future of our children and grandchildren.

They did not even see any of that in the “style”, the “presentation”, the “change”.

Such stupid, stupid people

Vaguely reminiscent of Nixon’s “Last Press Conference.”

“A man is not finished when he is defeated. He is finished when he quits.”

-- Richard M. Nixon (American 37th US President (1969-74), 1913-1994)

Sarah Palin is not quitting. She is not finished.

If anything, she is only beginning.

Get ready for the scandal to surface. Either she or her hubby have been caught playing house with someone else.

Go to hell, dirtbag. If you have evidence of such, put it out there. If not, stop spreading scurrilous rumors.
