Palin Announces No Second Term (Official release has been extended and updated)
Office of Governor Palin ^
| Sarah Palin
Posted on 07/03/2009 1:59:10 PM PDT by SolidWood
So to serve the state is a humbling responsibility, because I know in my soul that Alaska is of such import, for Americas security, in our very volatile world. And you know me by now, I promised even four years ago to show MY independence
no more conventional politics as usual.
And we are doing well! My administration's accomplishments speak for themselves. We work tirelessly for Alaskans.
We aggressively and responsibly develop our resources because they were created to be used to better our world... to HELP people... and we protect the environment and Alaskans (the resource owners) foremost with our policies.
Heres some of the things weve done:
We created a petroleum integrity office to oversee safe development. We held the line FOR Alaskans on Point Thomson and finally for the first time in decades theyre drilling for oil and gas.
We have AGIA, the gasline project a massive bi-partisan victory (the vote was 58 to 1!) also succeeding as intended - protecting Alaskans as our clean natural gas will flow to energize us, and America, through a competitive, pro-private sector project. This is the largest private sector energy project, ever. THIS is energy independence.
And ACES another bipartisan effort is working as intended and industry is publicly acknowledging its success. Our new oil and gas clear and equitable formula is so Alaskans will no longer be taken advantage of. ACES incentivizes NEW exploration and development and JOBS that were previously not going to happen with a monopolized North Slope oil basin.

I listened to her entire announcement. It was honorable, it was direct, and it punctuated the insane politics of our day...it also punctuated her personal commitment to fight, and to do so when it would not distract further from her job as Governor and the foundation she has built there.
I am proud of her and support her. She is a great American.
I think Sarhah has just turned, like a fed-up mama Bear, on her detractors. She has put things in order, she has left them in the hands of capable people, and she has now turned to face her enemies directly.
...and I think they are going to be sorry. We have smelled the fear in them for a long time. Good on her!
I believe she will assist others greatly in 2010, and will run herself in 2012...and she has my full support.

AGREE! From the heart, as usual. Loved the way she slammed the media. Being right is better than being popular! Totally opposite of BO! and all the RINO's.

Also loved the subtle dig at current Congressional travel expenses swelling by saying most lame ducks “travel” but she wanted to do something that would both help Alaska and not cost Alaska. *LOL*
She is a much better speaker than 0. TOTUS has been slacking of late.

Perhaps she is going to take on the Obermessiah. Of all the nationally known Republicans she's the only one with the stones to do it.
McPain would have been much better off if he'd turned her loose and let her follow her instincts.

And it came to pass in the year 2009 that the President of the United State Barack Hussein Obama was exposed as having been born in Kenya. As he tried to fight the constitution he planned to run again but found out that was not eligible to run because lawmakers had tightened up the reigns in regards to qualifying to run for President. With Obama's Marxist plan to be President for life thwarted, (a plan in cahoots with Castro, Chavez and the other Marxist leaders), Sarah Palin runs for office and becomes the next President of the United States.

Absolutely, She speaks from the heart - it comes easy. IF zero spoke from the heart and exposed what is in it, he would still be a community organizer. He needing a teleprompter is so telling!
To: SolidWood
While I have not made a secret around here of my political opposition to Governor Palin based on several fundamental constitutional disagreements I have with her, I find her conduct today to be admirable. She seems to have put the good of her state and of her family ahead of any other consideration. That’s a rare thing these days in American politics.
Contrasted with Mark Sanford, who seems to care little about the good of South Carolina or of his family, her actions look particularly good.

My gut tells me she is about to go to war on the Obermessiah. Could be wrong, though. I hope you're right. We need somebody to. John Boehner is about the only one standing up right now that I've noticed. And he mostly attacks legislation, not Obama. I'm so sick of politics and politicians right now I haven't really been paying attention except for listening to Rush.
If Sarah goes on attack I'll sit up and start taking notice again.
Go Sarah!

Obamas worst nightmare: A straight, honest, honorable person who will stand up and call it like it is. Now she will be free to dog Obama like they've been trying to do to her.
And this is a great way to bypass that bumbling, corruption-ridden process we call a Republican Primary (the one that gave us McLame). I'm sure that's going to score her big points with the old boy network at the RNC. As far as I'm concerned, the Republican party has it's presidential candidate right now. Now we'll see whether the RNC is interested in winning 2012, or whether they just want to spend money and play with themselves.

Sarah Palins Accomplishments as Governor of Alaska (done in 2 years)...
Great list! Thanks for posting it.
By comparison, Obama's Accomplishments as President (done in 6 months): ...nationalized the banking industry.
...nationalized the auto industry.
...burdened the U.S. under a crushing debt of additional trillions of dollars with no end in sight.
...sat back and watched as North Korea and Iran continue to expand their nuclear weapons programs and threaten us.
...attempted to nationalize the health care system and create a huge and wasteful government bureaucracy to control it.
...allegedly "saved" some jobs as the nation's unemployment rate skyrocketed.
