I listened to her entire announcement. It was honorable, it was direct, and it punctuated the insane politics of our day...it also punctuated her personal commitment to fight, and to do so when it would not distract further from her job as Governor and the foundation she has built there.

I am proud of her and support her. She is a great American.

I think Sarhah has just turned, like a fed-up mama Bear, on her detractors. She has put things in order, she has left them in the hands of capable people, and she has now turned to face her enemies directly.

...and I think they are going to be sorry. We have smelled the fear in them for a long time. Good on her!

I believe she will assist others greatly in 2010, and will run herself in 2012...and she has my full support.

GO SARAH GO!

If things are headed down in Alaska, this may be a good move- outsiders sometimes have an advantage.

Why would I vote for someone that can't handle the job she has? If she can't handle Alaska , how is she going to handle the US and the whole world? She is losing me fast with this move.

It wasn’t about handling the job, its that she couldn’t DO her job because of the frivolous ethics charges. This woman hasn’t run from anything in her life. I doubt she’s starting now.

If she is genuinely stepping down from politics for good, then I can’t blamer her, but if this is a “tactical” move for 2012, she has shot herself in the foot.

One thing we have heard from always is her love for Alaska and now she says she believes her time spent fighting enemies rather than all of the time to her responsibilities isn’t right for Alaska and that she’ll go out and fight for what she believes is good for this whole country at a time of crisis.

I disagree. I believe she will now help numerous candidates in 20101...and she will gain tremendous political capital from doing so.

I also believe she will now be free to burn up the air waves and attend all sorts of speaking engagements, book tours, etc, where here popular support will just continue to grow.

If she does, she has my support 110% and she does precisely because she is not a politician, but represnts the best chance to return to the American values upon which this Republic hinges.

Lame excuses. Look at all the many Democrats that are up on accusations, Dodd, Franks, Jefferson, Pelosi, Rangel, and I could go on and on. Not one of them is stepping down. Only Republicans wimp out and think that way. Makes me sick.

Big difference between them and Sarah. She has integrity and puts her constituents first. You simply don’t get it, do you?

Yeah yeah, it's the old “but Republicans have integrity and are on a higher moral ground”. bull sh.t Hardly any politician I can think of is any more moral and has higher integrity than anyone else. I do get it, I'm wondering how people love and idolize someone so much they lose their common sense. (well I guess Obama voters fit that scene)

Ah, so you bring up the ol’ Obama line. And common sense, its pretty clear your posts show your lack thereof. Pretty sad that a freeper can’t grasp the bigger picture.

Your childish ways of putting me down is not going to help Palin one iota. Matter of fact, it's not going to gain you any fans either.

Oh. My. Gawd!

Go to 1:30 in the video. She is basically saying that she can better make changes by working outside government.

Or, as Claire Wolfe would say:

“America is at that awkward stage. It’s too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards.”

Nothing in your post relates to what she said in her announcement.

Honey, you need to go read your previous posts and save your disdain for yourself.

Oh, and if I wanted fans, I would have played professional beach volleyball.

After watching her no reelection, no mas no more I’m out of here speech on youtube a couple of times, I think she made a good decision. Not because I think it will work to get the White House though.

She just looks way to uptight and is not thinking clearly. Time off is definately what she needs. God Bless her, she is a marvelous Lady for America.

If you can’t stand the heat.... well she can stand it, its just maybe that....she wants to go hunting
