CBS has obtained internal McCain-Palin campaign emails that show a lot of infighting between Sarah Palin and campaign staffers.
Internal campaign e-mails exchanged three weeks before Election Day offer a rare look at just how frustrated then Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin had become with the manner in which top McCain campaign aides were handling her candidacy. The e-mails, obtained exclusively, also highlight the power struggle and thinly veiled acrimony that pervaded the relationship between Palin and the campaign’s chief strategist, Steve Schmidt.
The episode in question began when an investigative report published on the left-leaning Web site Salon.com raised questions about Palin’s relationship with members of the Alaska Independence Party (AIP) when she was mayor of Wasilla. The AIP’s platform calls for a vote giving Alaskans the option to secede from the United States. It had already been widely known that Todd Palin was a registered member of the AIP from 1995 to 2002 and that Governor Palin had taped a recorded greeting at the party’s 2008 convention.

McPain ran a bad campaign—Palin at least brought attention to the ticket. Now his daughter is all over the place and an embarrassment to listen to. Yet, the media like her—at least enough to have her run her mouth. Somehow, we need to get better spokespeople.

If there is anyone here who doesn’t understand why we cannot support a slick socialist politician like Mitt Romney, God help you, but you’re on the wrong website. We went through this with the abortionist, gay rights activist, illegal alien supporting, gun grabbing Rudy Giuliani until someone created another website call WAnkers for Rudy and they all flew the coop. Hopefully, before too much FReeper blood is shed, someone will create a WAnkers for Romney site and we can be left to fight the good fight as we see fit!

When was there ever a campaign organization in a close race that didn’t have a lot of internal debate. Sarah, who isn’t one to sit and keep quiet, stepped into a crowd of strangers many of whom were trying to do all the thinking.
It’s just my opinion mind you, but a Palin move to the Independent ticket would split the Republican vote. She needs to prevent that by winning the nomination outright. Otherwise both she and the Republican contender would fail.
If she doesn’t win the nomination(R), she’s toast. If she wants to run, she needs to get the leading primary states in line. She can’t allow the same process that saw lefty McCain get the nomination, play out again.
Those primaries need to be tightened up, or we can forget about changing the game in January 2013.

I’m not a hundred percent sure who is going to emerge as my favorite candidate come next campaign season, but I can say this:
I am going to pay attention to these “McCain campaign aides” and where they wind up. Any candidate who hires them I will figure is complicit in the smears against Palin, and I will not support them. They will be off my list, and I’ll make sure everyone knows why. Look, we already have a faithless sleazebag in the White House. I’m not going to work to elect another faithless sleazebag just because he happens to be a supposed Republican.

I am now convinced the GOP has been infiltrated at the highest levels by rats. The disclosure of these emails and other ‘anonymous’ left-wing media ‘sources’ who contributed to the Vanity Fair article and others render credence to this conclusion. If this if the case, they must be smoked-out and dealt with. Absent of infiltrators, the rats have been hacking email accounts illegally. Anyone with any other explanations, I am willing to listen.
