Could Sarah Palin win congress for the GOP in 2010?
self

Posted on 07/03/2009 3:09:59 PM PDT by Sybeck1

Just imagine Sarah Palin, not tied down to Alaska, traveling across the country hitting Blue Dog districts. Just imagine the crowds that she would bring out to our candidates. Could she do it?

I think she could do a really fine job of that. She’s the only reason I voted for McCain.

Check out the official transcript of her speech, whichby the way matches the video that’s up on YouTube.

Very impressive.

YES.

It’s not politics as usual.

She’s going to take this country by storm.

She is the Miracle we’ve been praying for.

I agree and posted this same thought on other threads. Her phone will be ringing off the hook as conservative candidates seek to invite her to campaign with them.

if Sarah could give the GOP a consistent and focused message, she could go a long ways to getting the GOP back to prominence.

Sarah Palin could be a refreshing voice and push for those running as Conservatives for Congress, but only if the existing Rhinos get a brain implant to wipe out their left-leaning tendencies and wimpiness to stand up for true Conservative/Republican principles.

Having her campaign in the lower 48 for candidates is going to make the difference IMO. She draws people wherever she goes and will be a huge boost to our GOP candidates as we take back seats.

I think she is doing this so that she can assist other Conservative candidates to win. Her speech was amazing, and she did it without a teleprompter, she said it all FROM THE HEART. Whatever she decides to do with her life I support 100 percent

Gonna be real interesting to see which congressional districts she will or will not be invited to. Lack of invitation on any candidates part may be detrimental to his/her re-election efforts.

Hoenstly?

Don’t know Sybeck1, I really don’t, at the moment there exists a huge political opportunity for a Republican/Conservative to fill the void the Dhimmicrats are creating, whether Sarah Palin has the weight to be that person is an unknown, and even whether she wants to fill that role remains to be seen.

I do think Schmidt and the rest of the McCain staff dispise her, and they try to smear her at every turn, for me, those are politcal targets as there is nothing worse then cannibals or Vichy Republicans.

And she’s not going to take any prisoners.

Today is a very good day...

It will not be quick and it will not be easy, but it looks like we’re going to get our Independence back.

With Sarah, our country will not go down, instead, we will climb back to the top and well beyond.

Many are assuming she did this in order to run for president. I don’t believe for one minute she would put herself and her family through the hell that would be a left wing media driven campaign. She is going to work outside the beltway political system to get conservatives elected and to help take back our country. If successful, she will be in a position to hand pick the Republican candidate in 2010. But it will NOT be Sarah...

Palin senses this moment in history and the role she will play in it. Republican party is rudderless right now yet people are mad as hell and are ready to vent. Who is the leader that will focus that energy?

She could draw 30,000 at a tea party today or tomorrow, anywhere in the lower 48.

She is going to make speeches, write a book, make some bucks. The left won’t be able to pot shot her because she will have ready access to respond, perhaps her own TV show.

Obama will be a disaster, the country is going to be a mess. 2010 she will help bring back the congress and collect some IOUs. 2012 will be her year to be president.

I think you’re right. She’s following the Nixon 1966 model. Campaign hard for Congressional candidates, build up IOU’s and convert them into support for a presidential run in 2012. She wouldn’t be able to do that as governor without giving short shrift to Alaska.
