Russia's energy giant Gazprom has signed a $2.5bn (£1.53bn) deal with Nigeria's state operated NNPC, to invest in a new joint venture.
The new firm, to be called Nigaz, is set to build refineries, pipelines and gas power stations in Nigeria.

If you don't see the irony in the name let me spell it out for you.
Russia a country composed of mostly white people has created a joint venture with the country of Nigeria, they are composed of mostly, well, black people.
Now, say Nigaz 3 times, as fast as you can and see what comes out. Or try this, Nigaz of Nigeria.

Neegaz = Nigaz (you say tomato, I say tomato, spelled the same but, ... They are different)
Neye-gaz = Nigaz (same thing if you from Opie Ville or the Deep South)

There's a lot to be said for differences between cultures. What seems insulting to us, may not even register in other countries. And, vice versa.
They clearly know where the 'power' is. Meantime; American's will be forced by our energy policies, into 'breadlines' while we wait for the perfect 'wind farm'.
The balance of power is tipping; and we are below water level. So they can name this whatever they want; and send Obama a confirmation message. . .
On other news Nigaz has bought out the honey bee industry in African and anmiogn it.....Bee-hatch!!!!!

When I saw it, I immediately pronounced it Nigh-gaz; nothing wrong with that. Now, if they had named it NIGeriaGAZprom, or NIGGAZ, then you might have had something.
An Obama supporter walks up to a group of Obama supporters in line for their stimulus checks and says, "Hey, I just got a job working for Nigaz."
And they all hold up their govt. checks and say, "So did we".

I think the Nigerians and Russians won’t care. They do not let themselves be intimadated the way we do here in the U.S. Chances are, Jesse and Al would end up ‘committing suicide’ or getting in a car accident, that being the car ‘accidently’ blows up.
Quite rightly, they (Russians) do not play around when it comes to billions of dollars in business deals.
