A call for humble prayer on Sunday

Sunday (July 5) is "Call 2 Fall," a prayer rally organized by the Family Research Council.

It is a call to Christians and their churches to take three to five minutes during the Sunday services, go to their knees, and pray for repentance and a return of America to moral greatness. Larry Stockstill of Bethany World Prayer Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is taking part.

"There really isn't a new political agenda we can pull out of the hat or any other form of medicine for America," he states. "It's only prayer and fasting."

Dr. Richard Land of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission tells OneNewsNow that Southern Baptists will also participate. "We are similarly convinced that the only real answer for America is spiritual renewal and revival that must start with those who claim the name of Christ," says Land.

public prayerDr. Wellington Boone of the Father's House in Norcross, Virginia, believes prayer is central. "I was reading Isaiah 56, where the Lord clearly says: 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all people,'" he shares.

So the church, say rally organizers, is the appropriate place for the prayer event Sunday, which is summed up in II Chronicles 7:14: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

More than 25,000 individuals and churches have signed up to participate in Call 2 Fall.

We truly need an Independence Day.

That is, a day independent of Marxist treachery by our government: Obomba and our complicit Congress.

That’s what we’re doing and have been doing every Sunday in church and daily at home ever since the Marxists moved into the White House.

Yes, we have most certainly been praying in our home too....since the beginning...

My point was if folks find out their church won't do this...

..they can do it at home, or even invite friends over.
