Woke up to a cryptic e-mail this morning from Gov. Sarah Palin's office. All it says is she "will make an announcement at her Wasilla home this morning" at 11.
On Fourth of July weekend? From her home? Hmm.
My question: why did it have to be so cryptic? She's staying another month on guard -- so just wait until after the holiday, why don'tcha?
Maybe she thought that if she waited to make the announcement, she'd reconsider. Or maybe she wanted her July 4 weekend to relax without having to worry about throwing such a curve ball on Monday morning.
The bottom line is that no one knows why she did it - the timing, the reasoning, nothing.
The timing eve before Independence day....very cunning, IMO.

the KOS’rs are claiming she is about to be indicted on Fed bribery charges, arising from claims about building materials for her home coming from the construction of the Wassila Sports Stadium.
It’s based on a Truth-out article sighting an “independent” Alaska (read: Unemployed) Journalist who claims to have confirmed it.
Don’t hold your breath about it, but it is why the libs are cheering gleefully. And it’s not beyond the realm of reality that the hate-filled left would get Obama to sic the FBI on her.
Yeah, and the Kos thought she faked her pregnancy too. Morons.
I would say its brilliant timing.
And her actions speak volumes.

There were comments yesterday that she couldn’t have picked a better time to release news that she didn’t want anybody to see. Ironically, it seems to have hit the news media like a bomb, instead.
The MSM’s favorite way to treat most conservatives is the Blanket of Silence. Rather than attack them, they find it better to pretend that they don’t exist. What the public doesn’t know about, they can’t support.
But that doesn’t seem to work with Sarah. Even a Friday holiday announcement seems to reach the ends of the earth.

Simi Valley and all of Ventura County is Reagan Country. During the campaign I went there to see my cousins, practically every house had a McCain/Palin sign, and I saw a HUGE sign from a house before I went on the 118 freeway.
Sarah is a genius, making people second guess her choice of doing this, now she is free to go wherever she wants, and her first stop..REAGAN COUNTRY..KICK ASS!!
There’s a lot of speculation going around about why she quit. She’s given the DBM 24 hours of a feeding frenzy. They have played into her hands.
Now all eyes will be on this announcement today - whatever it is. It will probably headline any news for the remainder of the holiday weekend.
I go along with the idea that she is going to make an announcement about our freedoms being eroded and today is a very fitting time to begin a crusade to reclaim our freedoms.
The DBM has burned her way too many times. I think she’s finally learned to play them to her advantage.

Alaska has at least 3 time zones, the earliest being the same as Pacific, which would be 2:00 PM, I believe.
But Wasilla may be an hour behind that.
If she’s involved in some sort of “scandal”, then why would she be scheduling speaking engagements? She would be canceling them or not announcing new ones on twitter.

I'm not buying it. When you're a public official, especially as public as Palin is, you'll get a letter from the Feds telling you that you're a target of an ongoing criminal investigation, and possibly even that a grand jury has been empaneled. It's not always the case, but it's almost always the case in a criminal corruption case. It's giving the target the opportunity to testify before the grand jury.
If Palin had received such a letter, her legal counsel would have advised her to go public. Attorneys know it's better to get out in front of bad news than it is to wait for the hammer to drop uncontrolled. And, even if she didn't want to go public, there's no way it wouldn't have leaked before yesterday's announcement, no way.
I don't think that there's any reason(s) other than the one Palin gave herself. Whether or not she'll run in '12 or some other time, is anyone's guess. But this has nothing to do with some larger criminal conspiracy.

More likely they’ll get the IRS on her, taking a page from the Clinton playbook. With the IRS, they just have to start an audit and the tax code is so complex ANY ONE can get tripped up. Similar to the Scooter Libby purgury trap.
Though I doubt Palin will be indicted for anything. All the same as Rove being “frog marched” out of the White House.
Truth Out also said Karl Rove was about to be indicted within 24 “Business Hours” which the foul mouthed kos kids swallowed hook, line, and sinker. They also said Sarah’s youngest son wasn’t hers. You can’t get more vile than at that site. The last thing anyone should take as the truth is ANYTHING posted at that hate site. They are so blinded with hate I can’t for the life of me see as to how they can function on a day to day basis.
She might be pulling the Reagan strategy: Energize the grassroots conservative movement to your side, then take over the Republican party from the moderates/pseudo-conservatives, then run as its nominee.
The cable news outlets aren’t even on top of this. I hope someone streams this live...

Subsequently Senator Stevens was found innocent when it turned out the FBI, et al, and their paid informants had LIED LIED LIED LIED.
Which means, of course, that since Stevens was innocent and the FBI not, that Sarah is innocent and the KOS is not ~ an investigation is needed, followed immediately by the hanging of KOS himself ~ trial to come!

Turns out this was about yesterday's announcement. Old news; nothing happening today.
The Townhall post was from this morning. The author of the blog post was unclear if she was commenting on yesterday’s announcement or setting up for a new presser. That’s why I made sure to post the entire text. I may have lit a fuse on a firecracker that went off yesterday......
She’s not involved in any kind of scandal, but I’m sure she doesn’t care whether or not that speculation is out there. It will just arouse more curiosity in what she’s up to - get more people tuned in. That’s the goal.
