A New York congressman says Michael Jackson was a "pervert" and calls on society to stop "glorifying" the late entertainer in a YouTube video.
Rep. Peter King said Jackson -- whom he called a "low-life" -- is being glorified in the days after his death while society ignores the efforts, of teachers, police officers, firefighters and veterans. In the two-minute video, King claims the "day in and day out" coverage of Jackson's death is "too politically correct."
"Let's knock out the psychobabble," King said in the video taped outside an American Legion Hall on New York's Long Island. "He was a pervert, a child molester; he was a pedophile. And to be giving this much coverage to him, day in and day out, what does it say about us as a country? I just think we're too politically correct."
King, a Republican who is among the possible contenders for the seat held by Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, said Jackson "may have been a good singer" and "did some dancing," but blasted the singer as someone who could not be trusted around children.
In 2005, Jackson was acquitted of molesting a boy who spent time at his Neverland ranch and appeared with him in the 2003 British documentary, "Living With Michael Jackson." The entertainer had been accused of plying the boy with alcohol and groping him.

How about that? ;-)
Peter King for President!
Rep. King should have kept his mouth shut, in my opinion. Why do members of Congress need to weigh in on the death of celebrities when the perversion of our Constitution, economic system, and country in general is going on behind closed doors.
Honestly, his comments just keep the MJ death in the news a little longer or give the media ONE more aspect to talk about instead of covering what is actually happening, not that they need much of an excuse anyway.
Must not tell the truth about the pedophile. Is that it?
He paid a reported $20 MILLION for the first legal case to be dropped. The boy described MJ’s private parts. When the police examined MJ they learned that the young boy accuser was right.
You want to ignore that fact, you have every right to do so.
The man was a freak. Aside from cutting off his nose, bleaching his skin white, dangling his baby over the balcony and making his children wear veils and maskes every time they left home.............you are right to defend him if that is your wish.
Rather than commenting on MJ why couldn’t he share his opinion about Barney Frank?
I still believe there will be riots....and looting....par-tay time for the stupids.........
Pass the Boones Farm (BooFa)....T-Bird....and C-45....
Transcript of Bashir interview. Video of it also.
Jackson: "When you say bed, you're thinking sexual, they make that sexual, it's not sexual." "We're going to sleep, I tuck them in and I put a little like, er, music on and when it's story time I read a book." "We go to sleep with the fireplace on. I give them hot milk, you know, we have cookies, it's very charming, it's very sweet, it's what the whole world should do."

Would you (have) let your 6 year old son stay overnight at Neverland Ranch?
The answer is (almost always) "NO!!!".
So by that rule we also must avoid referring to OJ as a murderer.
Of course, I have seen no “proof” that Michael Jackson ever molested any kids...but would one really believe their kid was safe around him? (Of course, many parents would let their kids be around him, but were hoping for a big pay day)
Hats off to Peter King - he's right on this - but it's the MSM that's glorifying him - and like all 24/7 type advertising - it's having an effect. Why is the MSM doing this for a man who hasn't had a hit in a decade or more?
The MSM is fawningly praising the gay pedophile Jackson as a way of giving the finger to traditional Americans. To exalt a child molester would be the equivalent of the right exalting a person who killed abortion doctors.
I guess you aren’t familiar with liable laws? I wouldn’t put myself in that position, Carley. You go ahead.
Pete King speaks out against honoring Michael Jackson
To call Jackson a “lowlife”, is to insult lowlifes everywhere.
And anyway - How did you get that I was defending MJ from my post?
Sheesh take a chill and stop the attacks on FR, people.
Wow! Now if he would have the sack to tell it like it is about the demwits in congress.
So by that rule we also must avoid referring to OJ as a murderer. -pete
... and elect druggies to a City Council seat.
"The bitch made me do it!"
And JE$$E ? Yeh, add him to the list.....
A very clear example of how low our society/culture has sunk is that people have to speculate as to what MJ did in private to point on how depraved and degenerate he was. What about his public performances? His videos? A more decent people would find these abhorrent. I found him repugnant when he was still at his zenith hadn’t turned white and lost his nose, and nothing was known about the boys.
Yep, Jackson was a pervert.
And Rep. Peter King is a gun-grabbing statist.
Screw ‘em both.
So no one had a right to say that OJ killed Ron and Nicole?
After all, he was found not guilty by a jury of his peers, right????
King is a gun-grabber. Would you really vote for him?
Michael Jackson’s Other Legacy
(Portion of transcript in the child molestation lawsuit.)
WARNING: VERY GRAPHIC
Thanks goodness someone finally spoke up. Stupid thing to say? Absolutely NOT. Exonerated? The star-struck jury pulled an OJ.
Yes, as Norm MacDonald said, let’s not get the terms wrong here.
Michael Jackson was a HOMOSEXUAL pedophile.
Would you want your children to grow up like Michael Jackson?
The guy was a “marketed” freak....
Is that Marion Barry? He’s in trouble again.
As i understand the boy’s description of private parts of Jackson did not exactly match what the police found.
As for the 20$ million settlement, it is not admission of guilt by legal standards.
If your child grew up to be like Michael Jackson, would you be proud?
“..regardless, since he was legally exonerated of all charges that was a stupid thing to say...
So by that rule we also must avoid referring to OJ as a murderer. “
Let’s see anyone argue around this.
Not only that, he was very wealthy.
I thought wealthy people were now despised in this country?
I think his “freak” nature and celebrity override his wealth in the mind of a leftist.
With their elitist mentality, the left excuses celebrities of almost every “sin”.
So was OJ...not trying to pick a fight, just sayin
Michael Jackson to be buried without his brainMichael Jackson played the Scarecrow in The Wiz in 1978. Now, 31 years later he will be burried without his brain. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Yes, OK, but even if he was legally exonerated, this media circus about his life is just a bit over the top. He was a good singer, an excellent dancer, and a very talented all-round musical entertainer. There’s nothing dishonorable with any of those things, but they don’t warrant all this adulation either. He was also a very troubled person cursed with a lousy childhood. He never completely came to terms with himself, or with life in general. He’s not what I would call a hero. Not like a major scientist or philosopher. Or the GI’s storming Halmand province, or the firefighters and medics who save lives on a daily basis. This culture has its priorities upside down.
Why on earth are you asking tobyhill this question?? He states in his headline that King was 'telling it like it is' by calling MJ a pervert.
Thanks ! very well put !!
Familiar enough to know they're correctly spelled "libel".
It is your right to defend the indefensible.
“Legally exonerated” is not accurate and is misleading when it comes to whether or not a person could be trusted around kids. He was found “not guilty” which is FAR DIFFERENT than innocent.
All I’m saying is the Congressman shouldn’t have put himself in a position of liability. Now the family will sue him. You never publically say things like that about someone unless it’s the actual truth. Regardless of what people think or believe, courts have said it isn’t fact.
