Honduras Slides Toward Greater Instability (AP/YAHOO Bullhockey)

...snip....
TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras – Already volatile Honduras slid toward greater instability after soldiers blocked an airport runway to keep ousted President Manuel Zelaya from returning, and protests that had remained largely peaceful yielded their first death.

...snip...
Critics feared Zelaya might try to extend his rule and cement presidential power in ways similar to what his ally Chavez has done in Venezuela — though Zelaya denied that. But instead of prosecuting him or trying to defeat him at the ballot box, masked soldiers flew the president out of the country at gunpoint, and Congress installed Micheletti in his place.

...snip...
"This is a war," said Matias Sauceda, 65, a human rights activist. "Imagine — things are so bad, that the president is in the air and they don't let him land."

Kicking Zelaya out led to more stability in Honduras. Keeping him out is a good idea. Be good to keep out AP, Yahoo and CNN as well.

"Imagine — things are so bad, that the president is in the air and they don't let him land. that a man in the air that tried to change our constitution to allow him to rule forever and remove all my rights as an individual and join Hugo Chavez and the Socialization of South America...and they won't let him land."

I hate to say it but the Honduran army should have finished Zelaya when they had the chance. You don't depose a leader and let them go. You either keep them in custody until they agree to quietly retire, or you put a bullet in their head like the Romanians did. If you let the deposed leader go they will inevitably seek foreign allies and return in an attempt to gain power. Especially how badly outmatched Honduras is outmatched against Venezuela they should have never put Zelaya into a position where he can lead a Chavez funded army back into Honduras.

No, you blind or ignorant socialist sponge...your ex-president tried to violate the constitution
and when told to stop he did not and was summarily fired.

And our left wing media likes to omit this fact.

"...the Honduran army should have finished Zelaya..." Yes indeed. Now he is a Charles II waiting in the wings for a restoration and as political momentum can always shift he may get his opportunity. Chalateca with hen

Yes, towards great stability.

The liberal MSM does not even know that the man who replaced the tyrant Zelaya is from his same fricking liberal party for crying out loud!

They need to arm every adult in the country and start a training system like Israel. Everyone should serve until the country is stable. Chavez is talking about invading the country. Honduras better be ready. It may deter Chavez.

COMMUNIST B*STARD ASSOCIATED PRESS.

LIES! DAMNED LIES!

The Venezuelan Intelligence agencies attempted to install a dictator for life in Honduras, modeled on their Chavismo, and the Honduran government/military, legal apparati and PEOPLE under their Constitution, clearly said NO! They did not get away with it, and now the crybaby would-be dictator wants to fly back to Hondurans to "embrace his people".

Now these propaganda stories start to come out. I'm not fooled. Many of us are not fooled.

These Hondurang people came out with flags and signs, and are VERY ANGRY with CNN and its slanted, pro-communist coverage of the Zelaya situation in Honduras. They also have choice words for Communist Hugo Chavez, Zelaya’s patron in this whole destabilization and power-grab fiasco.

Well now isn’t that interesting. A “human rights activist” decries the treatment of a thug, dictator wanna-be. Sort of like the human rights folks in the US, attacking the US military while cheerleading for partial birth abortionists.

I know all (or almost all) freepers understand that the marxist azzhat AUTOMATICALLY ceased being President under the Hondouran Constitution when he tried to hold a vote to extend his tenure. As in NO trial, NO impeachment, NO ANYTHING needed.

The concept apparently is beyond the moronic LSM...

...has united with Chavez and conservative Colombian President Alvaro Uribe in insisting on Zelaya's return.

Uribe? I find that hard to believe. But, hey it's not news it's the AP!

”This is a war,” said Matias Sauceda, 65, a human rights activist.

This is probably the only true thing Mr. Sauceda (the communist tool) has ever said.
This is a war to decide whether Honduras will remain a nation of laws or fall to the Marxists in Latin America.
