SEOUL (AFP) Almost three-quarters of South Korean male office workers feel uncomfortable when female colleagues show too much leg or cleavage in the workplace, a survey has revealed.
A poll of 1,254 employees by the job portal site CareerNet found that 74 percent of men felt upset with the attire of their female co-workers.
Some 56 percent of them cited micro-miniskirts as their chief complaint, while 51 percent objected to excessive cleavage.

If mini skirts and cleavage upset male Koreans then perhaps these men should start wearing longer skirts and less revealing tops.

Good for them for supporting modest attire in the workplace. There is a time and place for everything. I guess a lot of Freepers don’t believe in modesty.

That stuff has gone on way too long here in the U.S. as well. The slightest long gaze or, God forbid, comment, get's a man fired or at best, sent off to "re-education camps" as the libs/gays don't tolerate any imaginary slight.
Huge problem even in the churches in America, as even the "faithful" women and girls seem to believe that dressing like a slut, should be acceptable Sunday School attire.

Oh, I dunno. It depends on SK’s litigation level. With all that eye candy around if one wayward glance earns a hostile workplace environment suit, yeah, I’d be against it too. Here in the US, I’d find it very hard to handle.

Personally, I don’t think short skirts and clevage are appropriate for the office. If you’re a pole-dancer or something, then that might be appropriate work attire.

The thing I hated most about going to Viet Nam (all of 1970) was that I missed a full year of mini skirts at home. I guess I'm still just a sex-starved squid at heart.

‘Tis a hard thing my FRiend.... modesty that is.
Have you gone shopping recently with wife or daughter?
Most of the crap sold today is immodest - at best. You have to look long and hard to find tops/skirts suitable for younger girls.
I’m not saying everyone needs to wear Mother Hubbard type duds, but a young girl aged to 12 shouldn't have to look like a sleazy hooker because that is all that can be found in the ‘major’ stores.

Exactly!
The new double standard for the last 20 years is the woman can "wear" revealing clothing and if anyone she doesn't like ,looks, then they are GUILTY of harassment!
I actually had a manager state"a real man would not react if that young lady walked by naked!"...????!!!(I'm not sure what type of man he meant;at least you might offer your jacket or something?) The young woman in question was showing lots of thigh and cleavage and became "uncomfortable" with the way people looked at her.
My view is:if you put on a display, expect people to look.
Just how much and what quality of work gets done when everyone is distracted by outlandish clothing or lack of it?

"....South Korean male office workers feel uncomfortable when female colleagues show too much leg or cleavage in the workplace, a survey..... Simple solution: For greater comfort, wear looser pants to make room for the 'tent pole' (and bring a change of underwear in case of unexpected discharge).
