This pos lowery treats Palin as if she were a mccain or a kennedy or a hussein osamabama... he states that she is lying when she tells the truth. His head is so far up his own derriere, that he cannot smell the roses of right action or even see the light of truth.

Perhaps she had SEVERAL reasons for resigning, eh, Rich?

I'm tired of the effete opinings of the moderates. Palin has bigger stones than Rich Lowry could ever hope to have.

Today there is an article in the Politico that the Beltway GOP now ‘wants to be friends with Sarah Palin’.

Could it be that SarahPAC since Friday has been raking in the dough and that perhaps that Sarah has now achieved ‘Godfather’ status?

Speaking of “Ann Coulter”, she was an avid Romney supporter. It’ll be interesting to see if she finds a clue, and becomes a Palin supporter. I think both Rush and Levin, have hinted that they are just looking for a sign that she might be running, so they can do just that.

"Worked for Obama just fine."

So what? Does that make it right? I will ask yet again, were we really bothered by Obama's lack of substance and experience, or just jealous that he got away with it?

If he’s going to resign, everyone at NRO will need to follow suit. They’ve been mezmorized by the Lib since the wind caught his hair just so in the sunlight.n

Outside of a handful like VDH it’s hardly worth reading the publication anymore.

It’s obvious....Palin’s announcement has the RINO and the Eastern Liberal Establishment in a tizzy...

Most were not expecting Palin to give up her governorship so soon....by doing so they know she has a huge head start raising money for 2012 if she does run.

Romney, Pawlenty, and most other GOP hopefuls pretty much saw their dream shatter when Palin made her announcement on Friday. These guys HAVE NO CHANCE AGAINST SARAH if she runs. Mitt could spend $50 billion on a campaign...and still would lose to Sarah

The GOP Liberals now need to shut up and stop bashing Palin. She is the only GOP hopeful who can beat Obama. You will not beat Obama in a general election running a GOP candidate who agrees with Obama on most issues.

Its time for the Liberal RINO Eastern Liberal Establishment GOP to shut up....or get out.

Why are so many people so down on Mitt Romney? He has made more great speeches, supported more conservative candidates, done more interviews, and written more OP EDs on all conservative subject matter denouncing Obama than anyone else in the last year. He has proven himself. Now, he may not be your favorite guy, and that’s ok, but to act as if he is not a conservative is disingenuous at best. We’re lucky to have Mitt, and Sarah, and DeMint, and other conservatives. God bless them all.

The GOP Liberals now need to shut up and stop bashing Palin.

GOP "moderates" for years have mau-maued conservatives into checking their values and pulling the lever for the team.

Lets see how well they can follow their own advise.

My guess is not only will they refuse to support a conservative national candidate, they'll continue to do whatever they can to sabotage them.

It’s good for Alaska (gets the state government and the citizenry out of a fight, Sarah v. the left, that’s really not and shouldn’t be theirs), good for her and her family (if she wins, she wins big, and if she loses, she’s out of the political game...which, given the current toxic state of the game, might mean there’s absolutely no downside risk for her), potentially good for the GOP and conservative establishments if they’re smart enough to realize it (right now I’m starting to wonder very seriously about both), potentially good for America, and potentially very, very bad for the Democrats and the left.

“OK, so if any Conservative says anything even faintly positive about Palin, that makes the speaker unintelligent?”

No. But refusing to acknowledge problems with Ms. Palin is unintelligent. She is a charismatic, natural politician. But she is woefully lacking in knowledge about things which a person with a serious interest in government and access to news media should have known. Maybe she can fix this. Who knows. Maybe I can climb onto her bandwagon some day. I certainly defended her during the campaign as against Obama and Biden.

But, after her amazing speech at the Republican National Convention, I have been singularly unimpressed. She does exactly as Lowry says, clings to hackneyed sound bites for dear life. She also rambles, and you wait and wait for her to get to a point that makes some sense, so you can start breathing again.

Some on FR are touting a Palin/Liz Cheney ticket. I suspect Cheney would flunk the FR test on some social issues, like gay marriage. But, when you listen to Liz Cheney, you realize that she is a very smart woman with a lot of substantive knowledge, and that Sarah can’t hold a candle to Liz Cheney when it comes to being able to address the issues and handle a tough interview. I can’t believe anybody would think that Palin should be in the number one spot over Liz Cheney.

But, reliable, prominent, intelligent conservatives get tagged as RINOs or a POS on FR, if they dare to point out obvious problems with Palin. It is depressing. If this represents the conservative base, then conservatism is in deep trouble.
