On July 1, the U.S. military initiated Operation Khanjar or “Strike of the Sword,” an invasion of the Helmand Province by 4,000 Marines and 650 Afghan soldiers.
“Strike of the Sword” represents the first military operation to be ordered by President Obama.
The purpose of the campaign is to flush out Taliban operatives from southern Afghanistan in order to safeguard the re-election of Afghan President Hamid Karzai on August 20.
The military initiative is being conducted by the insistence of Kharzai, who fears that a strong Taliban presence will produce unfavorable results for him on election-day. To accomplish this objective, President Obama remains determined to deploy 68,000 additional U.S. troops to southern Afghanistan within the next six weeks.
But the Marines, thanks to Mr. Obama, are conducting this mission with their hands tied.

It’s starting already, the JFK, LBJ strategy of defensive war. Fight with your hands tied. The only thing that gives me hope is that word will get out and the American people will not stand for this crap. what struck me most in the primaries and general election is there was no Vet voice in voting for or against obummie, were they silenced by higher powers or just plain deluded into thinking obummie was going to be a “good” prez?
He sends them on a military mission with direct orders to just stand there and take it???

What we seem to have going here is the Carter economy of the 70s (with potential to be far worse) and the LBJ war strategy of the 60s- the worst of both. LBJ had similiar directives and during the height of the Vietnam War about 500 of our military were dying every week. For those of you too young to remember, that is not a typo- our losses really were that high.
This is a recipe for disaster and a lose/lose situation for our troops. If they follow these directives many more will die. If they do not follow the directives many will face Court Martial for failure to follow orders.

Absolutely correct. I had to read the article twice to be sure I wasn't having a flash back. Thought for a minute LBJ was still President. This is pure madness and we need to stop it!! I pray for our troops that are unfortunate enough to have Zero as their Commander in Chief.

I need confirmation.
Maybe what we need is to step up the prayers for the troops. Obama is signing the death warrant of our troops with stuff like this. I can’t think of any better way to decimate the military - through injury and people not re-enlisting. Who would want to serve under a CIC who does not have their best interests at heart, who would side with the enemy rather than our own country’s troops... Every time I think I have seen it all with this man, I am shocked once again. Prayers for our troops and prayers that the eyes of the nation would be opened, that all can see what this impostor is doing.

I hope a lot more Americans figure this out and fast. I have been sounding this warning for the last 18 months with very few people listening. I have lots of friends and family in the field and saw this cluster #### get himself in office and predicted this. He doesn’t give a rat’s ass how many servicemen get killed as long as he cements his domestic power. Where are the law enforcement types on his birth “certificate?
