10 reasons why Joe Jackson should not be allowed near children or a microphone
National Post [Canada] ^ | Friday, July 10, 2009 | Lia Grainger

Since the untimely death of his son, Joe Jackson has emerged from the ensuing media frenzy with a library of quotes that, rather than reinvigorating his image and career, instead confirm he is the insensitive, money hungry, exploitative father we all have long suspected he is. After plugging his record company at the BET awards just three days after Michael's death, Joe called a press conference where, instead of apologizing for his gross error in judgment, plugged his record company again. To the horror of mothers everywhere, Joe is currently helping his wife Katherine care for Michael's three children, and in an interview yesterday with ABC, Joe again said what none of us wanted to hear, this time pondering the future musical careers of his grandchildren. If anyone needs reminding about Joe's suspect parenting abilities, take a look at his 2003 BBC interview, in which he asserts that it only counts as a beating if you do it with a stick. Below are some of Joe Jackson's most absurd/horrific/insensitive/ignorant comments from the past few weeks, and a few from way back when:

In an interview yesterday with ABC news: 1. On Michael Jackson's 11-year old daughter Paris: "I don't know -- I keep watching Paris. She … wants to do something."

2. On Michael Jackson's 7-year-old son: "And as far as I can see, well, they say Blanket, he can really dance.”

Every day the Jackson circus continues is another day of free media exposure for doofuses (sp??) like this, Revs. Al and Jesse, and other exploiters too numerous to mention.

Enough already.

Since I don’t watch Letterman, has Letterman made any jokes about him or the Jackson’s or is that over the line for Letterman?

Agreed enough already. I propose a 5 day “blackout” for MJ posts.

Aw, what did he ever do to anyone?

Gee, that was 90 years ago, if he even did it!

I feel sorry for Paris Michael (or whatever her name is). As much as her father’s memorial service was a pathetic display of mass pseudo-grief, her words and tears brought a lump to my throat. It’s a disgrace that she and her brothers have been brought up in such a disgusting circus. Joe Jackson is both a pimp and a whore in the exact style of Jesse and Al. What a shame. God help those children.

Joe Jackson is a disgusting insect of a human being. In life Michael Jackson’s weirdness was so overpowering that the vile nature of his FATHER never really made an impression on me. But in death, his arthropodic nature has become as clear as daylight.

Basically solves his No Skills problem by enslaving the less powerful people around him.

On CNN Jesse Jackson was pimping for "the Jackson family" and how wonderful they are. Apparently Michael's mother is the only one worth killing and she can't stand up to the father and kids.

Jermaine seems to be the worst of the lot of the siblings...muslim narcissist.

“Since the untimely death”

“Untimely”?

I don’t think so.

Not soon enough for me.

Joe is looking at the kids for some of Michael’s talent. LOL! It’s not like it’s in their DNA.

11) When asked about what he felt about fans’ response he said Michael should be there to see all the fans who turned out at Neverland.

Joseph Jackson didn’t have the talent to make it as a musician in his own right, so he bullied his children into being his meal ticket.

That’s my take too. Now they are trying to get away from suicide to homicide—insurance worry? Such a greedy man.

I’ve come to the conclusion that Joseph Jackson has incipient dementia. That’s the only thing that would explain the oddity of his press conference, where the first thing out of his mouth is that he has a record company. Here his son has just died, and that’s the first thing out of his mouth.
