I guess Pelosi didn't want to be seen backing a pedophile unless it was one with a (D- ) next to their name.

Sheila should know only Nancy’s little mouse gets a resolution.

Typical state-run media. They don’t mention ultralib Jackson-Lee’s name in the headline, hoping to mislead many readers into thinking it’s just another Texan politician.

There's no way for her to make money on it or it or a resolution would have been a priority.

It boggles my mind that so few African Americans are able to see how utterly and completely anti-African MJ was. He bleached himself white. How can you express your contempt for your own race any more strongly than that?

Why do they want to adulate him? It boggles my mind.

When members of the Congressional Black Caucus held a moment of silence in the House after Jackson died June 25, some lawmakers walked out of the chamber.

Jackson Lee has pledged that the resolution, now before the House Foreign Affairs Committee where she is a member, would come to the full House for debate.

Such honorary measures normally move quickly from committee to the full House and pass on a voice vote.

But Jackson Lee's resolution was in trouble early.

It drew only one co-sponsor, Rep. Diane Watson, D-Calif., and was not endorsed by other black caucus members.

On NPR this morning, one of the commentators explained Pelosi’s decision as an admission that Congress already honors Michael Jackson every single day by being “freakishly dysfunctional.” Even the libs on NPR seem to be sick of Wacko Jacko.

Speaking of Houston has anyone seen our Democrat Rep from Arizona? She has been missing from her district for a while, http://www.gilacourier.com/?p=2610.

Luckily a great conservative Republican is running against her, http://www.votejessekelly.com.

Sheila Martian Lee heard that the 40th anniversary of the first moon walk was coming up and she naturally thought it was another honor for Jackson.

Simple: their community's leadership leads them into doing so. Look at what Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton have been doing for the last few weeks. And anyone who doesn't think there's money being passed around is kidding themselves.

...because debate on the symbolic measure could raise "contrary views" about the pop star's life.
...and if so, could by extension (ahem) raise "contrary views" about the lifestyles of many of Pelosi's constituents.

That’s easy! She has more plastic surgeries that Michael, thus, she WON!

Those whose minds are not boggled understand how difficult it is to live with Vitiligo and that attempts to rid himself of remaining pigment was necessary to even out his complexion, not as an attempt to express contempt for his race.

Of COURSE if you’re going to try to wipe away all vestige of blackness from your skin and from your features (did his African nose also disappear because of some “disease”??? give me a break), then of COURSE you’re going to search the medical books for some “disease” that explains why you “had to” bleach yourself white, and of COURSE one of your staff-”doctors” is going to certify that you have it.

Grow up, Kimberly. Try not to believe every press release from every rock star you read.

As a white person I am horrified by MJ’s wiping away of his blackness.

If I were a black person I would be 10 times horrified.

Unless, of course, I was brainwashed by my “leadership” to think otherwise.
