Boxer faces 'challenge of a lifetime' on climate change bill
McClatchy via Yahoo ^ | July 11, 2009 | By Rob Hotakainen

WASHINGTON — If the Senate doesn't pass a bill to cut global warming, Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer says, there will be dire results: droughts, floods, fires, loss of species, damage to agriculture, worsening air pollution and more.

She says there's a huge upside, however, if the Senate does act: millions of clean-energy jobs, reduced reliance on foreign oil and less pollution for the nation's children.

"Once the American public realizes what this legislation will do to their wallets, they will resoundly reject it," Inhofe said Tuesday at a hearing.

Boxer said the legislation wouldn't include any new taxes, and she's portraying Republican opponents as obstructionists.

Green Jobs are a fantasy.

There will not be any green jobs, in reality.

Every subsidized “green” job will come at the expense of jobs that would have been created, instead, without this stupid carbon tax.

The “clean energy” jobs mantra. A windmill factory in every town.

It’s for the children!

Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer says, there will be dire results: ......, damage to agriculture,......

Isn't it amazing that throughout history warmer climates have resulted in improved agricultural production yet now a warmer climate would damage agriculture.

The envirodictators are as disingenuous as it comes.

Well, shucks, Babs and the DhimmiRats have been SO right on SO many things, lately, we should just go along blindly on this one. Right?

These idiots are dangerous to the country and to future generations. I recommend that we pitch them all out on their ears over the coming three election cycles...DhimmiRats, RINO’s, liberal and conservative...all of them. Including the anointed one.

"Congress is full of People who Predict the Future without Facts, details, or meaningful statistics. Bunch of Idiots."

Not to mention pushing bills behind closed doors and not allowing Congress critters time to read/digest them due to the libocrats need to further the socialist/Utopian dream.

Personally, I'm beginning to believe that the socialist/Marxists are pushing too hard and too fast and it may be their undoing.

These people are amazing, they can give us an advanced weather report looking a minimum of 10 years into the future.

Reminds me of the people moving into Texas, particularly Central Texas where we sure ‘nough look after our water useage, we’re always in some sort of “dry spell” here. But the newbies become instant water experts, knowing the capacities of the various aquafers, how long they’ll have available water, how to convert you home to enviro-friendly technology, walking PSAs in a word.

They preach to the rest of us from the front porches of their MacMansions with the 20ft. entryways, golf course grass lawns and swimming pools, extolling the virtues of water saver showerheads and low volumn flush toilets, ah yes, thank God they got here in time.

Followed by flooding.

No. I don’t believe in Global Warming or man-made climate change. I am not stupid enough to fall for that...

We will rid ourselves by way of our own idiocy, ignorance, greed, lust for power, and violence.

And it will have little to no effect on the planet, much as our existence up until now has had little to no effect on the planet.

We are but a molecule of a grain of sand in the hour glass of the universe. Our existence doesn’t really matter a hill of beans, except to those who may wish to take note at how absolutely pathetic our species has become, and how quickly.

Yes, I know that there are still Good people, but they are being outnumbered at an astonishingly fast pace by people who are Evil, and, quite frankly, I see no way of turning it around.

Can anyone name one global warmers prediction that came true?

=======

She says there's a huge upside, however, if the Senate does act: millions of clean-energy jobs, reduced reliance on foreign oil and less pollution for the nation's children.

The millions of jobs haven't happened in Brazil or anywhere else in the world.

Any shortage of energy in the United States has been purposely caused by our social engineering politicians. Turn Sarah Palin loose and she'll have us using our own energy in months.

Capitalism produces the cleanest environment, bar none. The most polluted countries are aways the statist governments that the liberals love.
