Obama Frees Iranian Terror Masters

The release of the Irbil Five is a continuation of a shameful policy.

By Andrew C. McCarthy

There are a few things you need to know about President Obama’s shameful release on Thursday of the “Irbil Five” — Quds Force commanders from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) who were coordinating terrorist attacks in Iraq that have killed hundreds — yes, hundreds — of American soldiers and Marines.

First, of the 4,322 Americans killed in combat in Iraq since 2003, 10 percent of them (i.e., more than 400) have been murdered by a single type of weapon alone, a weapon that is supplied by Iran for the singular purpose of murdering Americans.

As Steve Schippert explains at NRO’s military blog, the Tank, the weapon is “the EFP (Explosively Formed Penetrator), designed by Iran’s IRGC specifically to penetrate the armor of the M1 Abrams main battle tank and, consequently, everything else deployed in the field.” Understand:

This does not mean Iran has killed only 400 Americans in Iraq. The number killed and wounded at the mullahs’ direction is far higher than that — likely multiples of that — when factoring in the IRGC’s other tactics, such as the mustering of Hezbollah-style Shiite terror cells.

Second, President Bush and our armed forces steadfastly refused demands by Iran and Iraq’s Maliki government for the release of the Irbil Five because Iran was continuing to coordinate terrorist operations against American forces in Iraq (and to aid Taliban operations against American forces in Afghanistan).

Freeing the Quds operatives obviously would return the most effective, dedicated terrorist trainers to their grisly business.

It’s going to take one of these stupid, naive moves to blow back up in our face in the form of a jihadi’s nuke in an American city before Congress dares to lay a finger on Obama.

Reprehensible. American patriots are rolling in their graves in disgust at this anti-American who disgraces our heritage and our nation. Add the US Congress to the list of disgraces.

Is it possible to impeach a president when he has a senate majority and congress in his hands?

I don’t understand how the law works, but Obama seems to be pi**ing off the whole world already. He criticizes every country he goes to, and turns his back on Canada and Britain, America’s oldest and trusted allies. Then he cozies up to our enemies.

This is very strange. Can anyone explain how Watergate brought down a president, while Obama makes Nixon look like an angel, and is maybe getting away with treason?

I’m terribly perplexed and bewildered.

A Ping from Faith for those of us who pray for our American Heroes every day (under religion), included a video that Obama needs to watch.

http://blip.tv/play/AYGJ5h6YgmE

“Killed in action the week before, the body of Staff Sergeant First Class John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City, Georgia, just south of Atlanta, on June 11, 2009. The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough, Georgia. A simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and the approximate time.”

He’s made this big investment in showing the world that he can make a “grand agreement” with the Mullahs, - so this is just one of his ploys to try to ingratiate himself with them, maybe get “negotiations” going. He doesn’t care about the lives of American servicemen or Iraqis - it’s all about Obama and bis ego.

Because, in spite of Nixon’s one major sin of covering up, he had the decency to listen to Barry Goldwater and resign. Obama would never be this decent because he has no real love for his country. Nixon at least loved the USA!!!

Nope! Haven't "wondered" since the first day he came onto the national scene.

I've "known" he was a dangerous piece of commie trash from day #1.

What does make me "wonder" is how anyone could be "wondering" about oscumbo at this stage....{:-)

Obama is the reason why the founders put Article II, section 1, clause 5 into the Constitution. He behaving exactly like someone who’sfirst loyalty is other than to the best interests of the United States. He is our first usurper president and behaving exactly like one and a substantial part of our population doesn’t seem to think we ought to do anything about it.

I don't wonder who's side he is on. It is apparent that he seems to hate the US and is doing everything he can to destroy it from the inside out. Did you see the look on Putin's face when Obama was visiting Russia a few days ago?
He seems to have a look of utter contempt on his face towards Obama as they are sitting across from each other.
Even though Russia is not fond of the US, I think Putin does not respect a man who shows no respect for his own country as seems to be the case with Obama.

I remember Nixon quite well. He had his faults, but like Bush, he did what he thought was best for our country. Also, like Bush, he was a favorit target for the mass media to insult, make fun of and just generally put down when ever the oportunity presented itself. If there were ever a genuine trial against America’s enimies, it would include most of the mass media. They are a bunch of Communistic Socialists who want to see this country fall apart. Why else would they support Obama they way they have?

The difference between O and Putin is that the latter loves his country and will do anything to make it stronger in global politics even if it is at the expense of the US. Putin is a tough man and no match whatsoever for Obama and his amateuristic advisers.
