Irony; pure and simple irony.
If it isn't to late, prayers that it ends without any deaths or serious injuries.
Could this be another “disgruntled veteran” who is proving Janet Napolitano’s thesis correct (that these people are domestic terrorists)?
If undercover FBI (& others) have been involved in providing “fake” explosives to would-be terrorists, who is to say that other undercover operatives could not be providing “encouragement” to people that will “step across the line” & perpetrate actions like these?
I won’t go so far as to call this fellow a “useful idiot”, but it certainly appears that he will indeed be “useful”.

The Topeka Capital-Journal reports the gunman surrendered around 1:45pm Sunday afternoon. The paper reports the gunman ejected rounds from his weapon in exchange for cigarettes.
Police arrested the man. No one was hurt.

I hope it was the police and not a hospital employed security guard that gave him the cigs... If a hospital employee gives someone cigs, they can be fired! I saw it happen once!

Most anywhere else I would think that would be over the top.
But considering the amount of pure oxygen that can be found in a hospital I think that is not an inappropriate act by management.
Hospitals used to have special rooms for staff and patients to smoke but now most hospitals make their employees leave hospital grounds to smoke
How incredibly stupid. Make your employ walk off your property on company time to smoke.
Mostly they walk out to the curb of the road. So if they get hit by a car the company is liable because they are on company time.

Blame Obama?
It usually takes the SWAT team an hour to get there and set up all their fancy equipment. By that time, the shooting is over and they can go in and pick up the bodies. So much for police protection.
