Maddow Says Opposition to Sotomayor “Is Substantially about Race”
NewsReal Blog ^ | July 13, 2009 | John Perazzo

On her most recent program, leftist MSNBC host Rachel Maddow summed up all conservative and Republican opposition to Sonia Sotomayor’s nomination for Supreme Court Justice as nothing more than a “campaign” that “is substantially about race.” “Thus far,” Maddow sneered, “Republicans have attacked [Sotomayor's] ‘Wise Latina’ comment, they have called her an affirmative action nominee, [and] they have singled out her ruling in an affirmative-action discrimination case.” And for good measure, added Maddow, “[t]hey have chosen to inveigh against [Sotomayor's] work for the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund.”

What "race" is this Sasquatch talking about?

My biggest complaint about this nomination is that I can't understand why Obama would nominate a former Panamanian dictator serving time in a U.S. prison to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court. :-P

Specifically, it’s about Sotomayor’s membership in the racist organization “La Raza,” “The (Hispanic) Race.”

The State Media has declared that mentioning the racist acts of a member of a Designated Oppressed Group is . . . racist!

Perhaps he’s right.

Like, the majority of America is tired of minorities complaining about race all the time while using the government to get special privileges.

Her race? Her RACE???

For Pete’s sake, I don’t give a damn about her race or her gender. I DO give a damn about her beliefs about the constitution.

And, if Madcow believes her own crap, she must also believe that the Dem opposition to Clarence Thomas was “substantially about race.”

yes it’s all about race. HER race. HER racist attitude that she is better because of her race - just like the average kkk member.
HER racist attitude thinking that la raza is better then the aforementioned kkk because of the race of it’s members.
HER racist attitude that whites are safe targets for discrimination when blacks and hispanics are not.

yep. it’s all about race.

But the hammer had nothing to say about Franken’s many shortcomings until AFTER he got in.

Some voice of the people. I wonder if she ever asked him why he never paid back the Gloria Wise Boys and Girls Club (Bronx), after he pilfered their loot for Air America?

Truly. If she had the judicial temperament of Robert Bork I’d be 1000% behind her.

The opposition to Stomayor is about her RACISM and not about her race. Sotomayor is a racist who judges people based on their skin color as liberals do all the time.

In a way, it is about race. Not about the nominee’s race, whatever that is. It’s about the fact that the nominee IS A RACIST.

70% of her rulings have been overturned by the Supreme Court! That has nothing to do with race and everything to do with being unqualified for the job.
